Drive to forest city in the weekend, not too many people around. The beach and sunshine were nice there, enjoyed our chill time. The duty free shops are mostly open, but restaurants are closed left one Chinese restaurant in operations. We spend RM80 for a simple lunch there. Duty free shops are mostly selling wine and beer, shop assistants told me can only consume in the island so we did not buy.

Forest city located in Iskandar puteri, johor. It is green city just opposite Singapore. There are also several good hotels around Forest City with affordable price. Besides the beautiful beach, there also water park, swimming pool, free duty shops, restaurants, and others attractive activities. Large parking available either free or paid and easy acess.

#staycation Other than beachside activities, you might want to explore Forest City Maze, though it is about a 20-minute walk from the hotel. The maze is actually very well maintained, we even saw gardeners trimming the area. Unlike the usual kids friendly maze where it was easy to get your way through, this was quite hard, and it was really sunny and drizzling while we were there, which made it harder. (Meaning, the hedge was taller than adults, so you can't cheat, and really need to walk extra steps to get your way out.) Once inside the maze, you get to see a nice garden, formed by the words Forest City, as mentioned, due to the weather, I did not take a lot of photos, but still, I think the garden was worth it!

Idyllic park, white sandy beach, and clear sky are really a perfect combination for a place to heal your soul and recover from hectic life. To make the evening more enjoyable, there’s a light bar on the beach area to chill and relax while enjoying the sea breeze and warm sunlight. It’s quite a long drive from the city but it’ll be worth it.
