Room itself was clean and comfortable , Bathroom is big and clean . On-site restaurant was a hit and miss but still overall experience is a pleasant one. This resort is good for a weekend break for it clam and peaceful atmosphere.

[Dominica] Independence Park in the center of Puerto Plata ⛲️
🇩🇴Parque Independencia
📍Location: C. Beller, Puerto Plata 57000
Parque Independencia is located in the center of Puerto Plata, a city in the northern part of the Dominican Republic. ⛲️
The magnificent gazebo and cathedral in the center symbolize the central square of a Latin American town.
The townscape surrounding the square is also colonial-style.
These colors give you a sense of the exotic atmosphere of the Caribbean countries. 🌴
The area around Independence Park is densely packed with tourist attractions and sights, and there are many tourists, so you can walk around relatively safely. 🚶

A cute pink alley!
A popular tourist destination in the northern Dominican Republic city of Puerto Plata.
When cruise ships are in port, it is very crowded with tourists.
When you go to Puerto Plata,
I recommend going to the shocking pink alley, which symbolizes the cheerful atmosphere of the Dominican Republic✨

Caraibe cruise to the Dominican Republic 🗺️

I just got back from an incredible Caribbean cruise, and the highlight of the trip was definitely our stop in the Dominican Republic! 🏝️ The island’s mix of vibrant culture, stunning beaches, and warm hospitality made it unforgettable. We docked in Puerto Plata, and from the moment I stepped off the ship, I knew I was in for something special.
Our first excursion was to the historic Fort San Felipe. The entrance fee was around $2, and it’s well worth it to explore this old Spanish fortress with its rich history and fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The fort itself isn’t huge, but the scenery around it is breathtaking. 🌊 After soaking up some history, we headed to the famous 27 Charcos de Damajagua, a series of waterfalls and natural pools where you can hike, slide, and jump into crystal-clear waters. This adventure was a bit more pricey, around $50 for a guided tour, but it was an adrenaline rush like no other!
The rest of our time was spent at the beautiful Playa Dorada. The golden sands and turquoise waters were exactly what I needed for some serious relaxation. 🏖️ There are plenty of beachside bars where you can grab a refreshing cocktail and just unwind. The vibe here is super laid-back, perfect for soaking in the Caribbean sun.
If you’re planning to visit the Dominican Republic, I’d also recommend checking out the Amber Museum in Puerto Plata and taking a cable car ride up to Mount Isabel de Torres. The views from the top are absolutely stunning, and the botanical gardens up there are a peaceful escape.
This cruise was the perfect blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation. The Dominican Republic truly has something for everyone, and I can’t wait to go back and explore more of this beautiful island! 🌴

Beach, food and strong drinks! A must!
We came to El Carey for a great dinner. It was delicious and in a beautiful spot. It was so nice we came twice!
Highly recommend for anyone looking to eat classic Dominican food, fresh fish, or even a tasty burger. El Carey has it all.
My favourite was definitely the classic Cuba libre and the Dominican goat stew, it was absolutely delicious and fell off the bone.
On their second floor they have a terrace overlooking the water, it is simply stunning.
A great place for family dinner, date night, family parties or even breakfast!#Puertoplata #Costambar

Dominican Republic Caribbean Tour
First time setting foot on this land
I was really amazed
Sunshine and beach, coconut trees, clear water and fine sand
As if in a paradise
There are different performances in the restaurant near the hotel every night
For example, some singers can play music and even perform some stunts.
Rest in the tranquil nature, listen to the sea breeze, and relax

Top of Summit
#celebratewithtrip
Soaring above beautiful Atlantic Ocean and forests on the northern shores of the Dominican Republic, the Mount Isabel de Torres is the highest peak in the province of Puerto Plata.
Hike your way up the mountainside to reach one of the Caribbean’s finest peaks. Once you reach the top you’ll be greeted by the giant statue of the Redeemer a smaller-scale version of the iconic monument that overlooks Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
There are different options to reach the summit that come with varying difficulties. Some choice to drive to the top while others prefer to take the cable car, the only one in the whole of the Caribbean.
