French Fold Telok Ayer
#singaporetrip
As a typical tourist wandering the city early in the morning in search of breakfast, I stumbled upon French Fold on a Saturday, just before the brunch rush at 9 am. Despite having no reservation, the staff warmly welcomed me—lone traveler with a large backpack in tow—and asked where I’d prefer to sit: deep inside, near the front, or outside. Seeking refuge from the heat, I chose a cozy spot inside, where the ambience was serene and peaceful.
The service was impeccable throughout my visit. The staff offered thoughtful assistance with the menu, checked in to ensure I was enjoying my meal, and kindly asked if I’d like another coffee—attentive without being intrusive.
As for the food, it was both a feast for the eyes and the tastebuds. I ordered the 17 (a savory galette) and 27 (a sweet crêpe), and I savored every bite. Both dishes were beautifully presented and utterly delicious, leaving me with an empty plate and a big smile.
