Chureito Pagoda, the best cherry blossom viewing spot with a magnificent view of Fuji
When it comes to cherry blossom viewing spots that are extremely beautiful and unique in Japan,
Chureito Pagoda is definitely on the list.
This is a viewpoint where you can see cherry blossoms in full bloom.
Contrasting with the red pagoda and with the majestic Mt. Fuji as a backdrop, the atmosphere is great. It might be a bit tiring to walk up.
But once you get to the top, it's totally worth it.
Don't miss this if you like taking photos.
This view gives you a very Japanese feel.

Mount Fuji is not so easy to catch! But this iconic Fuji viewing spot is still worth it
The Chureito Pagoda is probably one of the most photographable place near Mount Fuji. The pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine and is nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine's main buildings, which is a pretty tough walk. The observation deck most tourists crave to visit is even higher up.
I visited this place during a bus tour around Mount Fuji in early September - little did I know, not the best time to try to see it. During this time of the year, it is not yet covered in snow, making it harder to spot. Our bus tour happened to be on a relatively cloudy day, which only made our chances to see the famous volcano smaller. As our tour guide pointed out, Mount Fuji is like a shy woman hiding her face in the clouds when she doesn’t have her snowy makeup on.
But nevertheless, the view this observatory offers is stunning. The local nature and the bird’s-eye view of surrounding villages made the tired and red-faced me smile until my face hurt. Definitely one of the best days of my trip to Japan.
In my pictures you can still see her, hiding her face in the clouds. #mtfuji #japan #yamanashi

Getting the most famous photo in Japan🗻
The Chureito pagoda with the unmistakable shape of mount fuji in the background is probably the most popular photo spot in all of Japan and getting there is actually not that hard🗻
The Chureito pagoda is located in the town of Fujiyoshida and can be photographed from the Arakurayama Sengen Park Observatory📷
You can get on a train in Tokyo and after a 3 hour journey, you’ll arrive at the train station in Fujiyoshida, from which you can take a 20 minute walk to the pagoda (which is of course free by the way)🚄
But if you want to get that famous shot during sunrise, you will have to spend a night in one of the many hotels in the town, whose prices can vary, depending on the season🏨
But here are a few tips:
-Get up early and don’t waste any time in the morning, the walk up the mountain might take you longer than you expect, depending on your level of fitness (but should only be around 10 minutes)🌅
-There’s gonna be a lot of people in the morning, so once you arrive early, set up your tripod so no one can steal your spot📷
-Don’t wait for the light to be “perfect”, because that light might never come and then you’re standing there without any shots at all, so just take a picture every 30 seconds or so while you’re waiting for your desired composition☀️

Three different ways from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji, which one suit you?
One of the world's top tourist attractions that most people want to visit at least once is Mt. Fuji, especially when the peak is covered in snow.
There are many ways to get to Mt. Fuji, including renting a car, taking a bus, and taking a convenient train that offers a full view of Mt. Fuji along the way.
In late March to April, the area around Mt. Fuji is covered in light pink cherry blossoms. The highlight of Mt. Fuji that many people want to visit is the Chureitopagoda, a red pagoda.
If you are a tourist who likes peace and quiet, Fujiyoshida #fuji_mount Station may be another destination for viewing Mt. Fuji at dusk, so you can have time to enjoy Japanese food in a small restaurant.
If you are traveling from Tokyo and cannot book a sightseeing train, you can take the express train to Otsuka Station, then take a local train to Fujiyoshida Station and stay for 1 night before touring Lake Kawaguchiko #kawaguchiko the next day.

Hiking to Chureito Pagoda: A Mount Fuji Adventure with a View
#outdooradventure #travel #thingstodo #hiking #trekking #japan #mountfuji #naturalwonders #scenicviews
Hiking up to Chureito Pagoda is a quintessential Japanese adventure that rewards you with one of the most iconic views of Mount Fuji. The trail is a mix of stone steps and gentle inclines, weaving through peaceful trees and leading to this stunning five-story pagoda. I visited early in the morning to catch the golden sunrise, and the scene of Mount Fuji framed by the pagoda and cherry blossoms (if you’re there in spring) was truly magical.
Practical tip: Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the 400-step climb can be a workout! But trust me, the breathtaking views and serene atmosphere at the top make every step worthwhile.

And I get there “Chureito Pagoda “
Getting there: Get off at Shimoyoshida Station and follow the signs.
Climb the stairs to the top, it's very beautiful.
On this trip, we traveled from Mt. Fuji Station at 05.34 minutes and got off at Shimoyoshida Station and followed the signs. There will be signs along the way. At that time, the temperature was -3 degrees Celsius, very cold. And walking up the stairs was tiring. 5555 Walked and rested. When we reached the top, we were no longer tired. We walked to the pagoda at 06.10 minutes. At that time, the sun had not risen yet, but we could see Ms. Fuji, which was very beautiful. That day, the weather was clear and there were no clouds blocking it. Ms. Fuji did not disappoint at all. I recommend going at this time because there were very few people. When we arrived, there were 5 people, including us, who were comfortably waiting for the sunrise with their cameras.

Let's go see the Chureito Pagoda.
♥️Chureito Pagoda is located in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture. On the day we went, there were a lot of tourists because it was the autumn foliage season. It was very beautiful. We walked a lot, but the weather was cold, so we couldn't handle it.
🤍Walking is also very easy. Take the train and get off at Shimoyoshida Station. When you exit the station, follow the arrows or follow the tourists. Everyone has the same destination. 😂 There are both stairs and flat paths on the way up. It's convenient for you. There is a beautiful view at the top. It's definitely worth it.
