About 1 hour by high-speed boat Surrounded by beautiful seas and magnificent nature, you'll find spectacular views no matter where you look! In particular, Takahama Beach has a crystal clear blue sea, making it a relaxing trip to the tropical Goto Islands and Fukue Island. The island is home to many attractions where history and nature blend together, such as Japan's oldest wooden church, Dozaki Cathedral, and the cliff-top Osezaki Lighthouse. The fresh local seafood and Goto udon noodles are also delicious. If you come to the Goto Islands, you can't miss the fresh seafood! Shiki no Aji Yakko is difficult to make a reservation at (it's hard to get through on the phone!), but I managed to go there during my stay in Goto. Reasonably priced dishes, local sake, the chef, friendly staff, and the customers all had a great time! Before I knew it, the chef started drinking with us at the counter... lol They gave us a lot of free drinks and snacks, which I felt bad about. This kind of atmosphere must be the secret to their popularity. It was a great memory of my trip.
