The Fukuoka Castle Ruins are located on the west side of the Naka River and on the east side of Ohori Park. This is a nationally designated historical site, and it is also known as "Maizuru City" and "Stone City". Kuroda Nagamasa made great achievements in the battle of Guanyuan, so he was canonized as the lord of 520,000 stone before the building. Starting from Qingchang 50% (AD 1600), Kuroda Nagamasa spent 7 years building the city. The whole city belongs to the large-scale Hirayama Castle. Due to the war and various destructive factors, there are only stone walls left in the city, such as Otemon Gate, Shiomi Ogura, Muli Taibei Residence Nagaya Gate, Honmaru, Ernomaru and Sannomaru. There are Land Arena and Heiwadai Baseball Stadium, as well as Heiwadai Athletics Field, which is famous as the starting point of the Fukuoka International Marathon. It is said that the castle did not have a castle tower from the beginning, but it is famous for having three large, medium and small towers and 47 watchtowers. Inside the moat is the sedge, a natural wild vegetation memorial designated by Fukuoka Prefecture, and there is a monument of Manyo Song in the castle. A few days ago, near the Heiwa Billiards Stadium, the remains of the Dazaifu-era State Guest House, the Korokan (Chikushikan), were discovered. Now there are remnants of the main gate and other remnants in the castle, which are open for viewing in the name of Maizuru Park.
