I visited Tomonoura, a nostalgic port town in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, in search of beautiful scenery😊 This port town, which has been used as a location for movies and dramas, is as beautiful as rumored, and I was continuously moved☺️ The Joyato (photos 2 and 8) is the symbol of this port town. Fukuyama Castle is located right in front of Fukuyama Station and can be seen from the Shinkansen platform. I went there during the September holidays. This is a 220-year-old townhouse in Tomonoura. It is a historic location that was used by Sakamoto Ryoma as the place for negotiations over the "Iroha Maru Incident." However, it became vacant and was at risk of being demolished, but with the cooperation of local residents, including director Miyazaki Hayao, it was renovated into a lodging and restaurant in 2010.
