#0yentravel I stopped by Fukuyama Castle Park when I visited Fukuyama, Hiroshima. The cherry blossom season was almost over, but the contrast between the remaining petals and the castle was so beautiful that I couldn't help but stop and stare. The balance with the stone walls and castle tower was beautiful, and the spring scenery was truly Japanese, and I felt at ease. It's close to the station and easily accessible, so it's also great that you can just drop in. #Spring0yenTrip When I went to Fukuyama Castle, I was first surprised by its location right from the station. It is close enough to be seen from the Shinkansen platform, but the castle tower and stone walls are still intact, giving you a sense of history. When you get closer, the black tiles stand out beautifully against the white walls, and the reconstructed castle tower is also worth seeing. Inside, there are plenty of exhibits related to the Fukuyama Domain and Mizuno Katsunari, so you can naturally get in touch with the history of the region. In particular, the view of Fukuyama city and the Seto Inland Sea from the top floor of the castle tower is open, and I ended up staying for a long time. It has just the right balance of easy access and what is worth seeing as a castle, making it an easy and memorable castle to stop by on your trip.

Fukuyama Castle is located right in front of Fukuyama Station and can be seen from the Shinkansen platform. I went there during the September holidays. The area in front of the station is like a mini garden, and the roses and purple flowers matched the castle, so I was able to take some wonderful photos 😚 Fukuyama Castle is a historic castle built about 400 years ago, and is a symbol of Fukuyama City! The castle tower and other buildings were burned down during the war, so the current structure was rebuilt in 1966. The contrast between black and white is beautiful, and the cherry blossoms bloom beautifully in spring. Next time I'd like to visit when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom!
