[Hiroshima] Adjacent to Fukuyama Station! Fukuyama Castle, the symbol of Fukuyama
#Spring0yenTrip
When I went to Fukuyama Castle, I was first surprised by its location right from the station. It is close enough to be seen from the Shinkansen platform, but the castle tower and stone walls are still intact, giving you a sense of history. When you get closer, the black tiles stand out beautifully against the white walls, and the reconstructed castle tower is also worth seeing. Inside, there are plenty of exhibits related to the Fukuyama Domain and Mizuno Katsunari, so you can naturally get in touch with the history of the region. In particular, the view of Fukuyama city and the Seto Inland Sea from the top floor of the castle tower is open, and I ended up staying for a long time. It has just the right balance of easy access and what is worth seeing as a castle, making it an easy and memorable castle to stop by on your trip.
