Gediminas Tower is located on Gediminas Hill at an altitude of 48 meters. It was built in the 13th century and still stands on the top of the mountain after many wars and reconstructions. The three-storey tower is simple in appearance but has experienced vicissitudes of life and is the first choice for tourists to Vilnius. Climbing up Gediminas Mountain, you can see the whole Vilnius from the middle of the mountain, and it is also a good place to take pictures of the city scenery. Standing on the ancient pagoda and looking into the distance, the whole city has a panoramic view. On the ancient tower, there are also very detailed exhibitions and videos about the Baltic Road, which constantly commemorate the independence of the Lithuanians.

Gediminas tower in Vilnius
The Gediminas tower is the last remaining part of the upper castle still standing to this day. It was originally built as a wooden castle in the 13th century before being replaced by stone castles in later years.
The castle and hill is named after Gediminas, a Latvian king who is renowned in folklore. The castle tower is so important and iconic it used to feature on the former Latvian currency! Entry costs five euros for adults and a visit is highly recommended.

A Panoramic Journey Above Vilnius
Gediminas Castle, perched atop a hill in Vilnius, offers stunning autumn views of the city. Access it via a short hike or take the funicular for an easy ride up. The tower provides a 360-degree panorama of Vilnius’ vibrant fall foliage, red-tiled roofs, and the meandering Neris River. Inside, explore exhibits showcasing the city’s history.
Visit just before sunset for a golden view over the Old Town. It’s a must-see for history buffs and photographers, especially in the enchanting colors of autumn. Best sunsets are from the above. #travel #Gediminas #castle #panoramic #vilnus #lithuania

A journey through nature and history intertwined 🇱🇹👫❤️
#urbanwanderings
My urban wanderings in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, felt like a journey through nature and history intertwined. Surrounded by lush green forests, hills, and valleys, the city’s natural beauty was ever-present. As I strolled along its winding streets, I marveled at the serene rivers that flow through the heart of Vilnius, offering peaceful moments amidst urban life. The city’s historic charm, from its Baroque architecture to the stunning Gediminas Tower, blended seamlessly with the surrounding greenery. I ventured into nearby parks and hills, where panoramic views of the city unfolded. Vilnius’ unique mix of nature, history, and vibrant culture made my explorations both refreshing and inspiring.

Time: 2023/12/8 20:00
Venue: AVIA SOLUTIONS GROUP Arena
Natalija Bunkė, the legendary actress, is going to sing. Are you ready for this feast? When talking about Lithuania, we have to mention its capital, Vilnius. It is said that Vilnius is one of the cities with the most churches in the world. Let's check in the wonderful buildings here~
1. Vilnius Cathedral
Located on the wide church square at the foot of Gediminas Mountain, Vilnius Cathedral was built in 1387-1388. It is the first Gothic wooden structure church. After many restorations, it gradually integrated Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles.
2. Gediminas Tower Gediminas Tower is located on Gediminas Mountain at an altitude of 48 meters. It was built in the 13th century and still stands on the top of the mountain after experiencing many wars and reconstructions.
The three-story tower has a simple appearance but has experienced many vicissitudes of life. It is the first choice for tourists visiting Vilnius. Climb up Mount Gediminas and get a bird's eye view of the entire Vilnius from halfway up the mountain. It's also a great place to take photos of the city.
3. Uzupis
Uzupis is located in the east of the old city. It is the territory of artists, dreamers, vagrants and drunkards. The region declared "independence" in 1998. Compared with the old city, this place is a bit dilapidated. It was hailed as a "utopia" at that time. Tourists interested in art can go and visit it. The more interesting building walls are used as art canvases, with various graffiti works, which are very intriguing.
On December 8th, let's go to this concert in Vilnius~
