You can take a magnificent and pretty picture even if you take it up close to the National Assembly building! #europetravel Ever thought that it is possible to have a church INSIDE a mountain cave? Look no further than Budapest Gellert Hill! This cave is a hidden gem that completely surprised me! It is within the dramatic cliffs of Gellért Hill, and the cave’s entrance is almost unassuming, but once inside, it transforms into a serene sanctuary! The church has a chapel and is not very big but very different than any other churches you will see across Europe. Along with the stunning natural rock formations, the peaceful silence is a welcome escape from the bustling city above. Outside the cave, you can even wander through the different viewpoints. You can see Liberty Bridge right from the cave! Visiting Gellért Hill Cave was a unique experience, perfect for reflection and a moment of calm amidst my adventures in Budapest!

The attractions here are quite concentrated, and you can arrange half-day or one-day activities in this area. This side is located halfway up the mountain, although the hiking (many steps) feels very tiring, in fact, from the Buda Royal Palace slowly walk over to the Fisherman's Fort about 20 minutes, along the way can take pictures, enjoy the scenery.
