Booked for 2,100 baht / night The accommodation is located on Nanjing Road, the same building as the ZARA shop. The entrance is on the side of the building. Walk through the door to the end. There will be an elevator to go up to the accommodation. The lobby is on the 7th floor. Only some of the staff can speak English. The accommodation is decorated in a retro train station style. There is no cigarette smell in the room. The room may be starting to get old, but it's not bad. On the day we stayed, we met quite a few Thais staying there. The price of the accommodation is 2,xxx baht per night. We booked through Trip. The room is considered OK, clean, the housekeeper is cute, cleans the room every day, refills water, changes towels. The bathroom does not have a bidet, but there is a hair dryer, a toothbrush cup, and detergent. There is a washing machine in the room. Travel ✈️ 🚈 1. From the airport, you can take the MRT Line 2 to East Nanjing Station, Exit 1 is the closest. However, if there is an escalator both up and down to the exit, we recommend Exit 2 to Henderson Metropolitan Mall, opposite POP MART. 🚕 2. Press to call a DIDI car in the Alipay app, pin the coordinates to 格美酒店 (Shanghai Overseas Nanjing Dongzhi Street Shop). The car will park behind the accommodation. Walk for 2-3 minutes. In this Shanghai trip, we stayed at G E M Hotel, which is located on Nanjing Road, a shopping street that everyone who comes to Shanghai must visit. The hotel lobby is on the 7th floor of the ZARA building. It is not difficult to get there. 🚆You can take the green MRT line 2 from Pudong Airport to East Nanjing Road St. No need to change lines. Then use exit 1, turn left, and walk for about 300 meters. The building will be on the right. We stayed in the Gemei Superior Double Bed Room (Private Washing Machine). Our room was on the 11th floor. There was a window to enjoy the view. The room amenities were complete, including a safe, refrigerator, TV, washing machine, clothes rack, and hair dryer, but there was no bidet. In Shanghai, the electricity used is 220V 50Hz. We have attached a picture of the power plugs for you. There is a housekeeper who cleans the room every day. For us, it is very good. Very easy to travel, near Miniso Land too, stop by every day 😄 Nearby is Family Mart and another convenience store (can't remember the name 😅) We stop by to eat every night. As for the DIDI line, it's easy to call. It's near the road where cars drive. The only disadvantage for us is that the room is not soundproof. Other than that, we have no problems at all. Even though it's still a bit chilly in Shanghai this early spring, 🧣 Gemei Hotel is super convenient. It's located at No. 600 Nanjing East Road, on the 7th floor of the Asia Pacific Plaza, right next to Zara—easy to find! The subway station is right downstairs, 🚇 and it's a romantic walk to the Bund to see the nighttime light show. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum is only 5 minutes away, perfect for taking atmospheric photos. 📸 The rooms have cute children's play areas 🦄 so parents can relax. The smart toilet seats are nice and warm, and some rooms even have their own washing machines, 🧺 making it super easy to wash kids' clothes. Through the window, you can see the dazzling night view of the Lujiazui skyline. 🌃 Even I'm tempted by the colorful ocean ball pool in the kids' activity area! Very impressed with Gem Hotel. Good price, suitable for 3-4 people because some hotels only have rooms for 2 people. This hotel is very convenient to travel to, located in the ZARA building. Travel from MRT East Nanjing Station, exit 4, exit the station, look right and walk straight until you see the Mido clock in front, then start looking for the ZARA building on the right, walk into the left side of the building, take the elevator inside, go up to the lobby on the 7th floor. The staff are friendly, let us check in since we entered (around 12.00). The room is convenient, no smell of cigarettes. There is a refrigerator but it doesn't work. There is a washing machine, spin dry. There is drinking water every day. The view outside can see the Pearl Tower. I give it a score of 10/10. When checking out, the staff asked me to help review and gave an umbrella (it was raining).

It is located on top of a building and is inside the city, so it is very accessible. It is cheap. There was no refrigerator in the room I stayed in, so I couldn't keep my drinks cold. The bathroom had a separate sink, toilet, and shower, so it was inconvenient to wash. There was no window.. Please take note.

The lady working at night was very kind and told me a lot of things, thank you :) The building was old, so it had a bit of a damp wooden building smell, but it wasn't a big inconvenience. The light that came on when the toilet lid went up every time I opened the bathroom door was impressive, lol. Oh, if the hair dryer overheats, let it cool down a bit and stop using it.
