Historic buildings
Yuanguang Temple was built in 1346. It was originally the seclusion place of Cheweng Yiheng of Dade Temple of Rinzai Zong, and it was changed to the temple of Caodong Zong in 1694. There are two well-known landscapes here, one is the two windows that many people come here for. The round window on the left side of the main hall is called the "Window of Epiphany", which represents Zen, wisdom and the whole universe. The square window on the right is called the "window of confusion", which represents the obsession in the human world, the inescapable birth, old age, sickness and death, and four sufferings and eight sufferings. This zen-like design allows everyone who comes here to calm down and enjoy the beautiful scenery here and think about life. The second is the "Peach Mountain Blood Courtyard", the main hall located at the entrance of Yuanguang Temple, which is a symbol of loyalty and soul. It is worth mentioning that the patio of the main hall is a remnant of Fushimi Castle.
