Atlanta is a city that houses many iconic brands, such as CNN and Coca cola. Additionally, it's downtown core is a nice place to stroll through especially if you have several hours to spare while on layover at Hartsfield. The subway system is efficient and not overly expensive making the trip to the city quite enjoyable. Head over to the the different headquarters to get a glimpse at the behind the scenes of the companies. There's also an Olympic park which commemorates the 1996 summer Olympics. It's a great open space and a place to relax. Being the capital of the state of Georgia, you can also have a look at the Georgia State House, a beautiful golden building.
