[2025 Seoul Stay] Travel Guide for Glad Hotel Mapo (Updated Jun)

This time I went to Korea and chose the 'Seoul Mapo Glad Hotel' which has been recommended by many people recently because I mainly stayed near Hongdae. Transportation It's very convenient to take the airport line subway directly to the hotel after getting off the plane. The hotel is right at Exit 9 of Gongdeok Station~ Since Gongdeok is a major station with three lines, it's easy to get to places like Hongdae, Myeongdong, and Dongdaemun. The only downside is that because it's a major station, you need to walk a bit inside the station Cost-effectiveness 🤓 If you book a week in advance, it will be cheaper. Non-weekend rates are around 500. Hotel Environment and Facilities The hotel has a great design and the rooms are not small. There is a dressing table, a small sofa, and the minibar thoughtfully provides two face masks. The bed is also very comfortable~ The lobby is on the L floor and there is a convenience store open until 2 AM. Remember to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste as the hotel does not provide them Overall, this popular hotel is really great~ Super satisfied 😍👍

I finally got to stay there🙂 ⁡ I made the reservation in March, so I got a reservation for a cheaper price than the market price It was a standard room without a bathtub because it was cheaper lol I think the deluxe rooms have a bathtub It's basically an eco-friendly hotel, so the amenities are minimal ⁡ 🌟What I like about this hotel ⁡ ⚫︎0 minutes walk from Gongdeok Station Directly connected to the station, no umbrella needed Airport railroad stops here You can go anywhere by subway ⁡ ⚫︎There is a convenience store at the front desk You can buy heavy drinks, bulky ramen, and snacks here ⁡ ⚫︎Intelligent The room is compact yet stylish. This is just my personal preference lol. There is an ottoman, so you can relax and watch TV.⁡ ⚫︎The bus transportation is very convenient. Because the hotel prices have increased, I used to stay at Hongdae Holiday In every time I went there, which was about 500-600+, but this time it increased to 1000+ and there were no rooms available... Then we found this one and were surprisingly satisfied with it. It's not close to Myeongdong and Hongdae, but the transfer is very convenient. The subway from the airport to the hotel can go directly without changing lines, and there are many restaurants nearby. You can see the hotel by taking the escalator at Exit 9 of Kongdeok Station. There is a 7-11 and a wowpass machine in the lobby. The hotel promotes environmental protection, so it is recommended to bring your own towels (which will also be provided), but toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided. The room is in grey and white design which I like, very clean. There is still enough space to open 2 suitcases. The soundproofing is also very good, not noisy at all. 🏢Glad Mapo ➰ A hotel with a great view of Gyeongui Line Forest Road and city! I stayed on the 24th floor, the highest floor, and I liked the view. 📍Glad Mapo It's very convenient because it's connected to Exit 9 of Gongdeok Station, and there's a convenience store in the hotel lobby, so I don't have to go out, which is great! I liked that I didn't have to go outside to get food delivered when I went to the ground floor. ㅎㅎ The room I stayed in was a jumbo twin room, and it was spacious and comfortable, so I liked it! #SeoulHotel GLAD MAPO is a convenient hotel with direct access to Gongdeok Station There was a staff member at the front desk who could speak Japanese. We were able to check in a little early, so it was a comfortable 3 days. The front desk staff was on the 9th floor, and there was a 7-Eleven and a wowpass machine, which I thought was very convenient. The room was spacious, and there were plenty of shelves to easily open up your suitcase. The shower room had a choice of whether or not to have a bathtub. There are many delicious restaurants in Gongdeok, so you'll never have trouble finding food, which is also recommended. Trains and buses are easily accessible, so travel was very smooth. I think it's a convenient location for people who want to go to various places. This is one of the hotels I'd like to stay at again. #SeoulTrip #Korea

It rained all day yesterday, so I hurried here to take some photos before going to the airport this morning. Fortunately, we were right opposite the hotel, so there were really no tourists this early in the morning. The locals also took this time to go for a morning run and walk their dogs. We were the only tourists 😂, so we were able to take as many photos as we could. It is so convenient that you don't have to go too far to Seoul Forest and Yeouido Island.

Very last minutes trip & first solo trip to SEOUL Enjoying the weather… really love winter season😍 But I would say is not easy trip for me as I sprained my ankle 1week before my trip and it’s actually quite serious. So I have to travel with my injured ankle🥲 When I check in at the airport I just realise I submitted wrong information for my K-ERA🥴🥴 I have to resubmit new one and pending for new approval😫 luckily it approved within 45min and there go my KOREA solo trip🙏🙏 Fun country to discover around although I don’t speak Korea and dont understand the language.. enjoying the local food, walking around for local traditional market, shopping the supermarket 👍🏻 But I think I won’t go for Seoul again for solo unless with friend. I don’t mind to discover other place if Korea myself but definitely not SEOUL. 😉
