I chose to take Keelung Bus No. 1062, starting from the Jiufen Old Street entrance and arriving at the museum entrance in about 20 minutes. The bus fare is calculated based on mileage, and is approximately 30 yuan per trip. The bus service is very frequent and punctual, making it a convenient and cost-effective option. Here’s what my lunchbox included: - Soy-braised pork - Kimchi-style side dishes - Clear soup The flavors were mild and not overly stimulating, making it suitable for Korean palates. While the portion might be a bit small, the packaging is clean and convenient, perfect for a quick meal before boarding a train or bus. As soon as we entered the park, we were surrounded by the fresh air and nostalgic atmosphere of the mountain city. As they walked and stopped along the way, Mibao was particularly interested in the old miners' dormitories and trains, and kept asking, "Whose home is this?" What surprised him most was the huge piece of gold in the museum! Standing in front of the shining gold brick, he opened his eyes wide and said, "Wow, what a big piece of gold!" He even wanted to touch it. Although there was no gold panning experience this time, just looking at the exhibition and learning about the miners' stories was an unforgettable adventure for the little ones. The Gold Ecological Park is located near the Jiufen area. You can take bus number 1062 for 10 minutes to reach here. Be sure to reach here before 3pm as the place closes at 430pm. There is a museum where you can get to know more about the past. After watching the 20 minute videos in the museum, you can walk into the short tunnel to experience what life is like in the past. Where the miners will walk through the tunnel doing their work. I felt very stuffy and suffocating inside the tunnel walk. It was very dark and I could barely see the ground.
