#naturalbeauty On our first walk, we paid attention to the waters of the Golden Whip Stream (金鞭溪)) or Jinbianxi Stream of the Golden Whip and surrounding nature stuff. There is a very beautiful Jinbianxi Stream (Golden Whip) in Zhangjiajie. The stream flows through a 7.5 km long gorge, the waters of the stream resemble a jade ribbon; they flow quietly in a deep gorge, the water is clear like a mirror, everything is visible here to the very bottom. This place is just short of being developed, but the undeveloped areas mean fewer people and no fees, so I highly recommend everyone to come and take a walk here! During the National Day holiday, we came here and, apart from the local residents coming to fetch water, we hardly encountered any tourists! The path is paved with cement, making it very suitable for bringing the elderly and children to breathe fresh air, with an abundance of oxygen ions. After getting used to breathing all sorts of vehicle exhaust and industrial emissions in the city, just standing here and breathing is a sublime pleasure! Some of our group members hiked along the stream for over ten kilometers without reaching the end, and I look forward to you telling me what lies at the end. For navigation, search for 'Baihutang Community, Suoxiyu Sub-district, Zhangjiajie'. Park your car at the entrance, and walk about five to six hundred meters to the first water fetching spot. The water here is spring water, and you can drink it directly. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers, and you'll find another water fetching spot. The water here is drawn from 150 meters underground. Local residents will drive thirty to fifty kilometers just to fetch water here, and some even send the water to Shanghai. The water quality can be preserved for about a month. Our group filled a few buckets of water to bring back to Changsha, and we bought some local berry tea to brew. The sweet and lingering aftertaste made me feel that all other teas are just mundane! #chinatrip The Golden Whip Stream in Zhangjiajie National Park, Hunan is famous for the movie set location of Journey to the West (西游记). It is a nice half day stroll with minimal effort required, and a good time to come is early in the morning to avoid the tour groups. There is a wheelchair path which I found to be very accessible friendly for elderly and disabled people. Overall a nice place to enjoy nature's beauty and the limestone mountains.

#cherryblossom2024 I recently visited the Golden Whip Stream in Zhangjiajie National Park. It is one of the most beautiful valleys in the world, and worth to spend half a day here. The 7.5km hike passes through pristine rivers, verdant limetone mountains and abundance of wildlife, century old trees and flowers. There are many checkpoints with benches for visitors to take a rest. It took me 3 hours to enjoy the hike from start to finish.

The stone pier on the Golden Whip Creek road seems to be deliberately designed for tourists to play, carefully stepping onto a step, and playing cool to take pictures on the ground. The climate here is warm and temperate, with abundant water, dense forests, rocks and streams are the most beautiful images. When I got to the fish pond, the time for the return trip was over.
