#singapore I was very fortunate to have visited Goodwood Park Hotel for a wedding. This heritage hotel has been somewhere I wanted to revisit since the pandemic but never got the opportunity to do so. The hotel building dates back to the year 1900 and it’s currently a 5 star hotel. The building has been restored and the Grand Tower gazette and became a national monument back in 1989. It is located at the heart of Orchard yet away from the bustling city. Providing guest the best of both worlds. Due to its unique history, the hotel is very has a very different layout and it’s fun to walk around exploring. There are also two different pools and various locations where banquet such as wedding can be held.

#mysgmemories I was fortunate to have the opportunity to stay in Goodwood Park Hotel a while ago, as part of a trip.com promotion. It is a heritage hotel housed in a building that was designed in the early 20th century, and is well known for its heritage vibes and good food. I got a Deluxe Premier Room on the second floor just above the restaurants and it was a very nice and elegant room which did not felt aged at all. #valentinescape February is the month of Love, it is short and very sweet.We celebrated our family Valentine's Dinner early at Tatsuya Japanese Restaurant. We decided to take Omakase for dinner. I am a bit hesitant due to my unfavorable with raw food. It turns out to be a very good omakase experience. I did inform the chef that I am not so into raw food, therefore, the chef prepared mostly all cooked dishes or at least half cooked for me to try. Goodwood Park Hotel has 2 pools - the main pool and the Mayfair pool. Something to note - both pools do have deep ends (~1.5-2m). There is hardly any feel of chlorine and they are quite aesthetically pleasing to look at. The main pool is quite a decent huge size to swim laps if your purpose is to lose weight. Lying on the chairs were very relaxing as well. Nonetheless, the main pool is surrounded by guest rooms and the lobby area; thus making it hard to have some privacy. For the Mayfair pool, it is relatively more secluded and more kid-friendly. It is however still surrounded by guest rooms.

Booked a month ago for this staycay. Really enjoyed the interesting layout of the hotel but love the Christmas decos. Love the Christmas flowers, Christmas trees and music. The desserts at the Deli looked stunning and can’t wait to try them out. When you walk more inside the hotel, you will stumble upon Classic IG worthy pics of staircase for photoshoots or others. Love the ambience overall.

We had a staycation at the Goodwood Park Hotel during the festive season. Though we arrived later than check in time, the lobby was still packed with people queuing. Needless to say, we had to queue and wait around for almost 45 minutes and yet our room wasn’t available. But the staff more than made up for it by being so attentive as we had a young child with us. They offered us a welcome drink at their cafe and constantly checked in with us. Not long after, we received a call to confirm if we would accept a newer, upgraded room. The main pool is huge and would satisfy any swimmer. But I have to say the winner is the second pool further in which offers such a wonderful relaxed vibe. We almost felt like we were out of the country on holiday. We spent a lovely afternoon there. Since our booking came with $100 F&B credits, we choose to have dinner at their Coffee Lounge which offers local cuisine. And oh my the food was amazing. Though pricey as compared to our hawker centres, the quality is top notch and portions were huge. Would 100% recommend a stay here if you’ve not been before. #staycation

Goodwood Park hotel has a restaurant that serves really good afternoon tea. The spread here is pretty impressive, with hot food like laksa, mac and cheese, fried chicken wings, as well as the sweet desserts like mini cakes, macarons and puddings. Given the price we paid, it is really quite value for money, highly recommend this buffet! Not only is there an incredible variety of food and desserts to choose from, it is also in a buffet style so you can eat as much as you want. Many hotels in Singapore offer high tea in their restaurants but the one at Goodwood Park Hotel has an exceptionally large spread of local and western delights. The restaurant is located right at the entrance next to the reception area and has a relaxing ambience due to the floor-to-ceiling windows and natural lighting. The food was really good too, even for a buffet menu which usually has hits and misses. Very worth it! Cleanliness: - In terms cleanliness, the room is immaculate. No physical signs of dust settling anywhere in the room. - Carpetted floor are quite clean with no signs of stains. - Their beds are installed with hydraulics to ease the cleaning of under the beds which is a plus point for us. Amenities: - First time we have a hotel room with a fan. And it’s white. It’s quite bold for them to have white fans unless they cleaned it regularly. - We love the big mirrors on the walls. - Room was equipped with smart tv which allows you to have mirror screening. However there’s no YouTube or Netflix installed on tv. But you can use your laptop to connect to the tv via hdmi cable if you wished too. - The tv was installed in an awkward position at the side of the table. Even though it’s adjustable, it can never beat a tv that’s positioned right in front of the bed. - The balcony was clean even though there have plants there. - But we personally preferred not to have trees just outside the balcony. - There are 2 swimming pools. The big one is located near the restaurant while the small one is located between the rooms. - The fresh towels are exposed and located near the trees. It will best if the swimming pool towels are sheltered. - The shower area and bathtub are sharing the same space. Some people may not like it. And it’s quite small for an adult. That’s the only minus point. Food Choice: - Restaurants in the hotel aren’t exactly Muslim-friendly but should pose a problem for most locals here. Suggest to have halal options. Service: - Room service are quite swift. They transported our luggages to our rooms. Extra pillows, bottled waters, ice cubes, bedroom slippers are granted upon request. - On the overall, we will definitely come back again when we have the next opportunity. #spooktaculartrip

Price per Person - 180 Rating - 4.5/5 #muststay Entering to the hotel premises , it gave you an heritage feel. Lots of greenery around the hotel. check in was smooth with helpful front desk. Although the room are located at 2nd floor however the view are good with the swimming pool. The hotel provide TWG tea. The bath room came with a bathtub. What we love most is the window of the room can be open and you may on the ceiling fans and enjoying the fresh air. Fareast shopping Center is just a few min walk which is convenience for guest. complimentary parking are given for guest.

Booked a stay in a deluxe Mayfair room but got upgraded to the newly refurbished (2021) deluxe premier room instead. Not all premier rooms have bathtub so if you want one with a tub, be sure to inform prior to check in. The room was huge (39 sqm) and gave off a resort vibe. I attribute it to the ceiling fan. One bad thing about the huge room was the distance between the bed to the tv. Did not help that the tv was not huge to begin with. But other than that, I loved the room. Compared to the room, the toilet was relatively small and cramped but functional. Do note that there are two swimming pools. The main pool and the Mayfair pool. The main pool is too exposed to my liking as it faces the coffee lounge. The Mayfair pool, on the other hand, gave off a Balinese vibes with the coconut trees, fountains and gazebos. A lovely pool! To state that the hotel was huge is an understatement. I spent a lot of them walking within the hotel grounds but didn’t seem to finish visiting all nooks and cranny of the hotel. I guess that’s a reason to be back. All in all, this is an iconic hotel not to be missed! Do not just go to the hotel just for the durian pastries. Goodwood Park Hotel was built in 1900 as the Teutonia Club for the elite German community. Today, its historic tower is gazetted the 22nd national monument of Singapore and you could get a glimpse of history when you stay at one of their 15 refurbished Heritage Rooms! The room gives off a rustic feel, muted with its shades of grey and olive green and yet contrasted with bright red glossy furniture that look like they belong in a different era. It comes with a separate living room area with an old school workspace, while a narrow corridor leads in to the bedroom. The bathroom looks elegant in its marble finishes and gold touches, but could get a little cramp. Goodwood Park boasts two swimming pools! The main pool is surrounded by a classic building exterior that reminds me of a country club, but it is rather exposed to the main lobby. I preferred the quieter Balinese-inspired Mayfair Pool, shrouded in foliage that made for a more relaxing swim. The trees and wooden huts do provide the pool with sort of an island charm. The Coffee Lounge at Goodwood Park Hotel is known for its signature Taiwanese Porridge Buffet, which was first introduced in 1984 and has been a staple in their menu since then. With a minimum of 2 diners, it costs $42 per adult and $22 per children. The buffet is ala carte style, where you will be able to order unlimited servings of dishes from a menu. Each dish is served thoughtfully with a single portion for each diner, so it is enough to share but not too huge so that you can get a larger variety of dishes to try. Don’t miss out on their Wok-fried Prawns with Salted Egg Yolk, as well as the Chilled Beancurd in Japanese Soya Sauce and Pork Floss! Every table gets to order only one serving of Deep-Fried Black Pomfret for every 2-4 diners, with a selection of sauce to cook the fish in. If you would like to try different sauces, consider coming with 5 or more people so you can get more servings of this! #musteat Located on the ground floor lobby of the stately Goodwood Park Hotel, the L'Espresso serves English Afternoon Tea for those looking to dine leisurely and catch up with good friends over a cup of hot tea or coffee. The hotel is old but still looking grand even after many years. There are 2 sittings for the afternoon tea and I took the earlier time alot which starts at 12pm. The tea is served buffet self service style with hot selections like laksa, chilicrab mantou, satay and mee siam, and also with usual favourites like ham and cheese sandwiches, foccacia bread, mixed salad with cold cuts as well as scones with jam. I enjoyed the pumpkin soup as well which was served warm in a hot pot. Desserts include ondeh ondeh and cheesecake, fruits and mango pomelo pudding. Tatsuya is the place to get the most authentic Japanese food in Singapore, prepared by Japanese chefs, and most ingredients are imported directly from Japan. Serves Lunch and Dinner with different menu, and some menus are not available on the card, is prepared by the chef. The taste is fantastic, so fresh and tasty. The tempura is the killer to me because it is so good and fresh, the stewed pork also very delicious., and not to mention the assortment of sushi is so so good! The lunch set is super good and value for money. Omakase also another outstanding dish that I am looking forward to on my next visit. This hotel is steps away from Singapore's shopping street Orchard Road, as a result, shopping are food are at easy access. The lobby, swimming pools, gym and dining areas are well maintained and clean. Rooms are spacious and the hotel specially arranged an additional bed for our family. Price per Person - $200 Rating - 5 #staycation The room is really spacious, perhaps cos it is an old hotel. Was very thankful to be given an early check in. Didnt book a room with breakfast due to work commitment.. However, will like to try a room with breakfast the next time round. The room gives you a feeling of being in a resort. Not sure if the pool was open back then. Because it was raining, I didn't have a chance to explore the pool and stuff. Oh there are a few lifts so best to ask the concierge which is the faster way. Cos getting to the room may be a 8 min walk..

Took a short break and had a staycation at Goodwood Park Hotel. Rooms are newly renovated and is very spacious. There is also a bath tub for soaking to destress. Ceiling fans gives a resort like feel to the property . There are 2 pools. The large one is rather deep and is great for doing laps. The smaller pool is set in the midst of lush greenery and is much cooler and relaxing. If you visit the pool early in the morning, you can even hear birds chirping. We made a reservation to try it out and wow, it was really as good as the reviews said it’d be. There were some dishes in one section of the menu that was limited to 1 per table but the rest of the items were free-flow. Location wise convenient as walkable from Orchard Mrt, next to Far east Plaza with plentiful eateries and minimart to get any necessarties. Loves that they have got a Mayfair pool that's smaller and more secluded than the main pool by the pool so it's more private and chillax to chill or swim in. Buffet breakfast at the coffee lounge is medicroe foodfare though, definitely expected much more variety and better food execution from that of a 5 star hotel. Not worth if have to pay $38++ per pax if not included in hotel room as noticed lack of staff, lack of menu knowledge , slow in service.staff need further training for rendering 3 star service in this 5 star coffee lounge were what we had felt, sorry for the honesty. However We are v grateful of check in service staff for room upgrade from Heritage to junior suite which had a spacious lounge area w addition TV and sofa to chillax and came with 2 bathrooms! Pillows are soft and may request for additional if one find them too low to sleep in. We also loves the Ferragamo fragrant shower gel, lotion,espresso coffee capsules and TwG tea bags provided in room. All in all an enjoyable Staycation and a steal at $220/night!

There are two swimming pools to choose from, the main pool and the balinese pool. Goodwood Park hotel is my favourite place for their complimentary delicious cake. I was berry surprised that they gave me their cake on a non-anniversary staycation. They told me because they valued my patronage and gave me another cake for my return stay. Wow this is a first and what a berry surprise. The main pool is right outside their afternoon tea lounge area and as it is surrounded by, their only view is towards the back of the hotel towards Far East Plaza. So I will suggest you try their balinese inspired pool located at their Mayfair wing. It also feels like a resort too when you are at their Mayfair wing. Sometimes, you can see weddings taking place here too.

Great place for a small gathering with friends with 5 pax right now.The space in the room is utilised well but the kitchen however is very narrow but it can be overlooked. Other than that, i’ve really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely return for another staycation! #staycation
