A surprising discover of Goulburn
As our van broken down on highway in end of April 2025. We had to stay in Goulburn for a couple weeks. Thanks for trip.com, I was able to search, compare and book the hotel with instant confirmation. it made our situation much easier.
We got to walk around the whole town by feet. Got to learn we were actually in the oldest inland city of Australia. It has a gigantic lamb statute you won't missed while entering the city. Many beautiful old historic buildings (hundred something years old). Wondering on the street imagining life back in older time. Thick green grass park in the middle of city. We explored good cafes, yummy restaurants. People are very friendly and relaxed. Some true history of Australia are there.
Goulburn is about 1.5 hours outside Sydney towards Melbourne direction. Train and bus to Sydney are available.

I recently visited Goulburn, Australia, and I was pleasantly surprised by its charm! 🏙️ The town offers a mix of history and nature, with attractions like the Goulburn Historic Waterworks and the Big Merino 🦙. Entrance to the Waterworks was only $10, which was great value for the fascinating exhibits. Nearby, you can enjoy a stroll through the beautiful Belmore Park 🌳 or explore the Goulburn Rail Heritage Centre 🚂. It’s a peaceful spot to unwind while enjoying Aussie culture. Highly recommend it! #Goulburn #Australia #BigMerino #Travel #History #Nature

Grandpa's Farm "Taralga Wildlife Park"
Remember to Google the business hours before you go.
Otherwise you’ll make a wasted trip just when you need to rest!
You need to pay to enter the farm!
But they will provide feed for us to interact with the animals🥰
The most important thing is that you can hug the cute little fat wombat
The key point! ! I heard there are wombat babies now, super cute and small
I want to go again☺️

There are lush rural scenery, colonial buildings are well preserved, and pleasant church bells ring regularly. It is a place away from the world.
