[Versailles, France] Trianon Palace🌿🏰
The Trianon Palace, located within the grounds of the Palace of Versailles, is a beautiful villa built as a private space for the royal family. There are two palaces, the Grand Trianon and the Petit Trianon, each with its own unique charm. The Grand Trianon was built by Louis XIV to spend quiet time with his mistress, Madame de Maintenon, and is characterized by its pink marble. The elegant architecture is surrounded by French gardens, and exudes a relaxed atmosphere. The Petit Trianon was built by Louis XV for his mistress, Madame de Pompadour, but later became famous for being loved by Marie Antoinette. The natural scenery she loved is widespread, and the pastoral "Queen's Village" is one of the highlights. The rustic scenery contrasts with the luxury of the palace, and is soothing. This is a spot where you can experience the private space of the royal family, which is a little different from the splendor of the Palace of Versailles. #0 yen trip February 2025

🇫🇷Grand Trianon - The escape for the French Kings
#europetrip
It was a pleasurable experience learning so much about the rich historical context of the Grand Trianon throughout the years. They have such stunning gardens, space, architecture, and history! The French royalty is very much evident from the exquisite furniture and artworks in each room. The gardens left us in awe with the meticulously maintained lawn and flowers. No wonder the French kings would like to have this place as an escape!

Versailles Trianon visit
A great visit for a weekend sunny day!
Beautiful walk from chateau de Versailles (€12 entry to garden), 25-min walk and overall worth it.
Lovely to see 400/500 year old designs and the way people lived back then. Great value for money and a beautiful day this can be!
Recommended!

Each corner of the Grand Trianon
Itinerary Scheduling:
If you are staying in Paris I recommend you to do a day trip to Versailles. You will get lost in the multitude of rooms and palaces and gardens.
My recommendation is the Gran Trianon.
If you are like me, someone that enjoys the details and not to be on a rush I would recommend you just to go to the Grand Trianon and enjoy the day getting lost in each of the corners of the palace.
