Kyoto's Century-Old Western Cuisine: Toyotei
I've been in Kyoto for a week now, and every time I pass by Toyotei, I see many people waiting in line. With so many people flocking to this place, it must have something special. So, we decided to try Toyotei's century-old Western cuisine.
Address: Porta Underground Shopping Mall, in front of Kyoto Station
Ambiance/Facilities: The place feels upscale, comfortable, bright, and clean.
Specialties: The four of us didn't know what to order, so we all went for the most popular dish, the No.1 Hamburger Steak B Set. Appetizer: Tomato salad, which was sweet and sour with a very unique texture, delicious; Main course: Hamburger steak with a beefy aroma, topped with a sunny-side-up egg; Baked potato: fragrant and fluffy, we even ate the skin; Dessert: Each of us ordered a dessert without extra charge, and everyone was very satisfied with their choice.
