Bat Cave (Gua Kelawar) is a part of Kilim Geopark located at the Kilim River. You can take a boat from the Tanjung Rhu Jetty or Kilim Jetty, and it’s usually covered as part of the Kilim Geopark and Mangrove Tour. Plenty of fruit bats found inside the cave, which estimated more than a thousand. It’s quite cooling, dark and humidity inside the cave is quite high, which provide a comfortable environment and natural habitat for the bats. Watch out of your head as some of the area is quite narrow and the head clearance is less than 1 meter. Natural bat cave. Need a boat ride to get there. Ticket is cheap, RM 2 for adults, RM 1 for kids. Torchlight is provided. The whole walk should take up to 30min. 😎 You will great by small monkeys. They allowed to be feed. Just bring some nuts. You can bought it before get into the speedboat. ⛵️ This place is really good. Although just a short distance walk...u can see the bat at a very close distance. There is a torchlight rental for rm1 per person. Take note that there is some passage section is flooded with water. I haven't stepped into the bat cave next to the mangrove ecosystem yet. It gives me a feeling of fear. It looks like the entrance to a haunted house in an amusement park. Langkawi Mangrove Tour is one of the highlights when visiting Langkawi. A mangrove tour in Langkawi offers an incredible opportunity to explore the unique ecosystem and witness fascinating wildlife of Malaysia. There are 2 main jetties located on Langkawi that offer the tour. They are the ‘Langkawi Mangrove Tour’ and ‘Tanjung Rhu Mangrove Jetty’. The one we took our tour was the former. Basically, there are also 2 options on how you would like to go for the tour. We decided to go with the private speedboat so that we do not need to wait for others. The package rate were as follow: 1 hour – 250RM per boat 2 hours – 350RM per boat (Recommended) 3 hours – 450RM per boat 4 hours – 500 RM per boat The recommended time would be 2 hours since beyond that only includes optional activities such as visiting beaches and fish feeding.
