Guanqian Street is located in the city center of Suzhou, not far from Suzhou train station. The street is a historic business street, dating back to the Qing dynasty. At present, the street has been remodeled into a pedestrian street, approximately 800 meters in length. Guanqian street, with its offshoots including Taijian Long and BifengFang, collectively make up a famous food and business street of Suzhou, equivalent to Nanjing's Fuzi Temple or the City God Temple of Shanghai. The first thing one should do upon arriving at Guanqian Street is to make a beeline for its delicious food. Here, there is a high concentration of long-serving restaurants, each with at least one hundred years of history. Guanqian Street is brightly lit at night. After eating and drinking their fill, visitors can stroll down the street and do some shopping. On Guanqian Street, you can also visit Xuanmiao Temple, which is located in the middle of the street. This Taoist temple was built in the Western Jin dynasty, in the second year of Xian Ning era (276 CE).
