Gucun park is a beautiful place to visit in Autumn. It is easy to get to on Metro line 7 and the tickets are cheap and easy to get. The park itself is not the most beautiful in Shanghai but this is mostly because it is not an old park and has not yet matured with bigger and older trees. However, there is lots of interesting rides to enjoy. The wheel was a great way to see the park and the surrounding area but the personal highlight was the mini-train which circled some of the park. Even in Autumn there were some beautiful cherry blossom trees to see and it wasn’t busy. I would recommend a half day visit to this park.

Also there is a Farris wheel, if you take that one, be prerared to be blown away by the amazing view (hence the ticket is a bit expensive, 40 yuan). 🌸 Actually to see those trees you don't need to rush to the Alley, cause trees can be found all over the park, but there will be less ppl with cameras so you can get all the view for yourself only. Not far from exit 3 there is a nice rosarium with the roses🌹 that are the size of my heard, a lake (you can rent a boat), and many Chery blossom trees! 🌸 My favourite part about those park is that picnics allowed, so you not only can step on the grass, but very welcomed to.
