I experienced a variety of traditional snacks at Gwangjang Market in Seoul and was deeply impressed. First of all, raw octopus is a very special challenge. The fresh octopus is still wriggling in the plate, paired with sesame oil and salt, and has a crispy texture, which is both thrilling and satisfying. The seaweed and Korean sesame oil in the rice rolls complement each other, while the glass noodles are refreshing and delicious, making the overall taste richer. The mung bean pancake is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The golden crust is wrapped with crispy and tender bean sprouts, making you unable to stop eating it. What impressed me most were the twisted rolls and sugar cakes. The twisted rolls were crispy and not greasy, while the sweet filling of the sugar cakes exuded a rich aroma.
