🌸Gwangyang Plum Blossom Village Walking Tour🌸 I had half given up on going to the place because it was hard to get there by walking, but during the festival, a bus route was created that went directly from Gwangju to the Plum Blossom Village event site, so I went there to feel the spring :) I thought there wouldn't be many people since I took the first bus on a weekday, but I was surprised by the number of people, but I successfully enjoyed the flowers while wearing a mask and listening to my favorite songs. It was a very pleasant day to visit Gwangyang Plum Blossom Village for the first time and the scent of flowers came through the mask. I brought a tripod to take a picture of myself, but I failed because I couldn't even take it out... Next time, I hope I have someone to take pictures with me😞 I arrived around 11 AM on a weekday, but there was a lot of traffic, and there were a lot of tour buses from the travel agency, and it was half people and half plum blossoms... I woke up at the crack of dawn and went there😅 Because of my personality of not planning properly every time and not checking information thoroughly😅 I went there without thinking and looked for a photo spot and I met Naran-in-a-human again in Plum Village...🤣I pushed myself and was exhausted before I found the photo zone...😳 ⭐️⭐️⭐️As you go up, you can see the Hongsang-ri plum stone monument in a big way Don't just look forward...it's time to look back once🙂 If you take the rightmost path, you'll soon see the photo zone⭐️⭐️⭐️ We ran forward without looking back, and we climbed the steep stairs and lost energy and couldn't make it to the hill photo zone. That's a sad story..^^.. It's true that a lot of flower petals fell when the festival ended It was a pity, but it was still worth seeing and there were a lot of people! I recommend the Gwangyang Plum Blossom Festival in March 23rd. There is a bit of traffic, but there is such a beautiful scenery. The entire town is filled with plum blossoms. Feel the spring as you walk around the town. ^^

Compared to other plum blossom spots, the main feature here is the oriental feel of the background created by the pavilion and pond at the entrance. I went to the Gwangyang Plum Blossom Festival on Saturday weekend! I think it took over an hour to park at Dunchi Village ㅠㅠㅠ I highly recommend going as early as possible to park quickly and go!!! They also run a shuttle bus, but if you go late, the line will be huge, so I recommend that those who want to ride the shuttle bus do the open run! This festival, the Gwangyang Maehwa Festival, will be held from March 8th to 17th. Many people will combine this festival with the Gurye Sunsuyu Festival happening up the road at the same time. The first sign of spring in Korea is maehwa blossoms. Maehwa translates as plum blossoms or apricot blossoms. Indeed, it is related to plum and apricots, but it is a unique species (prunus mume) that is a closer relative to apricots. Some common names in English include Chinese plum, Japanese plum, and Japanese apricot. In Korea, maehwa is grown for maesil, the fruit of the maehwa tree. Maesil tea is common as well as some other drinks and as a flavoring.

If you come to Gwangyang to see the plum blossoms, I definitely recommend the Provincial Museum.
