Gyeongju National Park
#koreatrip
"Gyeongju National Park is a must-visit for history lovers! Unlike other national parks focused on mountains and hiking, this park is all about Korea’s rich cultural heritage. I spent the day exploring Bulguksa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with stunning ancient architecture. Seokguram Grotto was another highlight—seeing the massive stone Buddha statue inside the cave was awe-inspiring. The park also includes Tumuli Park, where I walked among ancient royal tombs covered in grassy mounds. It felt like stepping back in time! While there are some hiking trails around Namsan Mountain, I spent most of my time admiring the historical sites and beautiful landscapes. Gyeongju itself is often called ‘the museum without walls,’ and this park is proof of that. If you love history, culture, and scenic walks, Gyeongju National Park is an unforgettable experience. I’d love to come back in spring to see the cherry blossoms!"
