Hadrian's Arch, built in 132, is a triumphal arch that remains from the Roman era. The arch is located not far to the southeast of the siege of Athens and spans an ancient road in the center of Athens. It is said that it marks the boundary between the ancient city and the new city of Athens. The characters carved on the front and back of the arch are also called Theseus and Hadrian respectively. Founder of the ancient and new city of Athens. The entire arch is 59 feet high, 41 feet wide, 7.5 feet thick, and the archway is 20 feet wide. It stands tall and majestic. The buttresses of the arches are decorated with ancient Greek Corinthian columns with multiple leaves on the capitals and linear patterns on the bases of the columns. The back of the arch is engraved with different texts, "This is Athens, the ancient city of Theseus" towards the northwest of the Acropolis, and "This is Hadrian, not Theseus" towards the Temple of Zeus at Olympia City".
