I went to see Haha no Shirataki in Yamanashi!
I had heard rumors that the waterfall was frozen, but it really was frozen and the scenery was fantastic.

Mother's Shirataki

Since the Heian period, this is the place where purification rites were performed for those ascending Mt. Fuji.
The enshrined deity is Takuhata Chijihime-no-Mikoto.
She is the consort of Amenooshihomimi-no-Mikoto and the mother-in-law of the god of Mt. Fuji.
She is considered the goddess of textiles.
A dynamic waterfall that also feels delicate.
The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is right in front of you, so you can feel the negative ions all over your body.

Chichi no Shirataki

Since the Heian period,
Haha no Shirataki has been used for purification rituals for those climbing Mt. Fuji. It is located at the top of the Kawaguchi Asama Shrine. If you go up a little above this Haha no Shirataki, you will see Chichi no Shirataki.
Compared to Haha no Shirataki, it is smaller in scale, but there is something heartwarming about it.
It's easy to get there, so I recommend seeing both Chichi and Haha together.

#2024wish Beautiful waterfall in the forest located on the trail down from Mt. Mitsutoge. It's very peaceful and quiet and there is a shrine beside the waterfall to say a little prayer while you are there. Definitely worth visiting if you are in the area.Little known place, a hidden gem that is assessable by car closeby. Amazing huge waterfall with amazing views of mt fuji.
