#chinatrip Haizhu Square is a public square located in Yuexiu District in Guangzhou. It is located right on the riverfront, Pearl River. Its centrepiece is the Guangzhou Liberation Statue, erected in 1959. And in 1963, the square and its environs were named as one of the Eight Sights of Guangzhou. Our hotel was right in front of Haizhu Square and we would passby this place everyday a few times, when going out/in the hotel. And it is very convenient to go to other parts of the city, either via the metro or even walking, on average, between 15-20mins. There were also malls, restaurants and eateries all around and so you will not need to worry where to shop or dine. And the pier for cruise was also nearby. So it's a nice place to visit!

On Sunday, I took a leisurely stroll, heading straight for the Xinghuan International Commercial Center in Haizhu Square. It stands tall and majestic, like the guardian of the earth, and like a shining pearl in the city, dazzling. I couldn't wait to step in and take the elevator up to the observation deck on the seventh floor. On the observation deck on the seventh floor, I was deeply shocked by the beautiful scenery before my eyes. The Pearl River, that ancient river, is like a silver ribbon, dancing lightly in the arms of the city. On the other side of the river, tall buildings are arranged in an orderly manner, standing like giants, and set off by the blue sky and white clouds. It seems like a flowing painting, breathtakingly beautiful. The breeze seems to be telling the story of this city, unique and charming. I looked down at the city and felt its charm and vitality. The sparkling waves of the Pearl River, the tall buildings on the opposite bank, and the freshness in the breeze.

The Guangzhou Overseas Museum is a unique time travel story, explaining the relationship between overseas Chinese and mainlanders. Why did they leave? How did they establish Chinatowns? And what is their role in the modern day? One of the best museums I've ever visited. I took a 20 minute walk to visit the Cathedral. The Secret Heart Cathedral in Guangzhou is a beautiful place, with daily services for the local Cantonese, on Sunday in English and Mandarin. It has all the similarities of a European Gothic Church, it felt like a little piece of home. When you come to Guangzhou to see the night view, many people may recommend the Guangzhou Tower But in fact, the night view that truly represents Guangzhou is along West Road! Guangzhou's former core CBD was dotted with various Western-style historical buildings, and its prosperity was no less than that of the Bund in Shanghai! This is my first time staying at Guangzhou Huaxia Hotel. The location is very convenient! 2-minute walk from Exit F of MTR Haizhu Plaza Station! The hotel has just been renovated, the rooms are elegant; I often travel on business, most afraid of encountering super soft mattress, Huaxia's mattress is not soft or hard just right.
