Hakkoda is the collective name for the mountain range that lies in the northern part of Towada-Hachimantai National Park. It is made up of more than 10 mountains, centered around Mt. Hakkoda Odake! From the summit, you can see Mt. Iwaki, Shirakami-Sanchi, Tsugaru Plain, Mutsu Bay, and Hokkaido😳 The best time to see the autumn leaves is from early to late October! Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy on the day I went, but the autumn leaves were beautiful🥰❤️ There is a hiking route to the summit, but if you're just sightseeing, I recommend the 30-minute course route on the Hakkoda Gourd Line, which is well-maintained for walking! Unfortunately, it was closed on that day I arrived due to strong wing 💨💨. I was quite sad 🥲 but on a positive side, me and myself got the entire ski slope to ourselves 🥳🥳. We did take countless photos and played with snow a bit. Although a bit disappointing, I am still glad to be able to make it there! Cheers! 😊 Tips on how to get there (very easy!)
