Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort
#Get a discount without relying on luck Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort & Snow, a tourist attraction with a million-dollar view near the Japan Alps, with an incredibly magnificent view, beautiful in every season. I chose to come in winter because I wanted to see snow and a beautiful panoramic view.
Let's start at Nagano Station.
1. Buy tickets at the station or go straight to Bus Stop No. 26, where there will be staff to advise and sell tickets right there. You can pay in cash, credit card, or Travel Card. The price is 3,500 yen. I chose to buy it at the sign. Then wait for the time to go up according to the round. While waiting for the bus, it's also good to buy some food to carry in your bag.
2 Take the bus for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, get off at
2.1 Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal, wait for the Free Shuttle Bus at stop 4, or if you don't wait for the free bus, you can take the Shuttle Bus for 850 yen.
2.2 Hakuba Station (I recommend getting off at Hakuba Station). It's easy to wait for the Free Shuttle Bus.
3 Continue to the Free Shuttle Bus for free. Look at the time schedule according to the picture on the sign.
When you arrive at Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort & Snow, go straight to buy a Gondora Sightseeing ticket, or if you want to ski or snowboard, go ahead.
For Sightseeing, the price is 2,900 yen, you can go up and down. This time, you can also ride the new Gondora Gondola, which takes about 7 minutes.
The atmosphere up there is very beautiful and spectacular. Even when I went when it was snowing, it was still very beautiful. If the sky is clear, it would be heaven in the mountains.
Recommended places (only places to stop by)
🔹 Hakuba Mountain Habbor Panoramic viewpoint There is a cafe called The City Bakery. The hot chocolate is delicious. There is a popular photo spot.
Yoo-Hoo! SWING, a sky swing with a great view that I think is the most beautiful view in Japan.
On the way to Hakuba Mountain Habbor, there will be thick and high snow. We can walk through it for fun, but my shoes and clothes are not suitable 😅 I can't go.
On the way, there will be snow huts and snowmen.
Skiing and snowboarding are very fun, but I didn't play.
Actually, there is another lift down. Unfortunately, the snow fell so heavily that I didn't get to go down. There is a cafe and a Giant Swing camping ground, but just going to that one spot is enough to make it awesome.
On the way back, take the Free Shuttle Bus back to Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal (if you take the bus back) or Hakuba Station. I chose to get off at the station because I planned to take the train to Matsumoto at 3:16 PM (I'm stingy. I have a train pass and want to make the most of it. Hehe. The bus costs 3,500 yen.)
*It's good to leave some extra time because the Free Shuttle Bus goes to many places before reaching the station.
