Hakuba Kashimayari Ski Resort, located in Nagano Prefecture, is a family-friendly ski resort. It operates from December 16 to March 24 and offers multiple slopes suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, there are various activities such as sledding and snow tubing, making it perfect for families with young children. Purchasing lift tickets in advance allows you to enjoy discounts and smoother entry into the ski resort. The resort features a play area designed specifically for children and a restaurant with stunning views of the Northern Alps. The snow quality here is excellent, with the longest run reaching 4,100 meters. The resort is easily accessible, making it convenient to travel from the capital region. #thingstodo The ski resort is good for beginners as most of the slopes are easy and not too steep, though for the more challenging slopes they open later in the season because snow is infrequent in the early winter of Hakuba. There are plenty of parking spaces (which are free by the way) but as the resort is mostly catered to Japanese not too many people come so it’s more free and wide. January to March would be the best time to come as more courses are open.
