From tranquil beaches to bustling cities, the charm of Halifax
Bidding farewell to the fine sands and large pebbles of Ingonish Beach, as well as the nearby freshwater lake, we headed towards Halifax.
👍 On our way through the town of Baddeck, we visited the museum dedicated to Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone. This genius not only invented the telephone but also created an alphabet for the deaf and mute, and helped Helen Keller, making him a legend. The museum displays Bell's improved airplane models, showcasing his extraordinary creativity and leaving us in awe.
👍 Upon arriving in Halifax, we couldn't wait to rush to the Bicycle Thief restaurant to taste the local cuisine. Although the Tuna tartare wasn't quite to our taste, the main course Cioppino was astonishingly delicious and highly recommended!
❤ After dinner, we strolled along the Halifax Waterfront. The bustling streets, fishing boats docked at the harbor, the myriad of shops by the sea, and the European-style street scenes all exuded vitality.
🍽 Of course, we couldn't miss the famous local Cows ice cream. I chose my favorite coconut cream pie flavor, which was incredibly delicious and a true treat for the taste buds!
👎 In the evening, we eagerly went night fishing for squid. However, the sudden rain and fog turned the anticipated night into a perilous adventure. With dark roads and very low visibility, we had to grope our way forward, but fortunately, we eventually found the fishing spot. Despite the abundance of squid, none took the bait, and we ended up returning empty-handed.
📝 Today's journey, from tranquil beaches to bustling cities, from historical imprints to modern vitality, provided us with a rich experience. We recommend following YouTuber "Zhuang Ye Zatan," who introduces the origins, history, and stories of each Canadian province in an easy-to-understand manner, making it perfect for listening to during road trips and enriching the journey.
