Ride the Fukushima Kotsu Watari Minami Loop Bus and get off at "Hanamiyama Entrance," then walk approximately 15 minutes. Fukushima Prefecture is vast and rich in natural resources. You can enjoy stunning views of Mount Bandai, which is listed among Japan's "Top 100 Mountains," the scenic beauty of Urabandai, considered one of Japan's best natural landscapes, and the famous flower-viewing spot Hanamiyama. When spring arrives, Hanamiyama Park showcases not only various cherry blossoms but also plum blossoms, magnolias, and around 70 other types of flowers that bloom at different times. The park offers walking routes of approximately 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 60 minutes, allowing visitors to choose based on their stamina and schedule.

From Tokyo Station, you can take a highway bus to "Fukushima Station" in about 4 hours and 10 minutes. Hanamiyama, a renowned sightseeing spot in Fukushima Prefecture, attracts numerous visitors from all over Japan every year. The late photographer Shotaro Akiyama once praised it as "Fukushima's own Shangri-La" and introduced the beauty of Hanamiyama to the entire nation. The bus has several boarding and drop-off locations, with boarding points located at subway station exits. One of the drop-off points is Fukushima Station, and the fare is 12,400 yen. From there, you can transfer to another bus to Hanamiyama Park. From the slopes of Hanamiyama Park, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the mountain dyed in soft pink gradients, often referred to as Fukushima Prefecture's "Shangri-La." Surrounded by colorful flowers, it feels like a dreamlike paradise. This famous flower-viewing spot, known by everyone in Fukushima, originated from the idea of a farmer. Abe Isejiro, one of the farmers who transitioned from silkworm farming to flower cultivation during the early Showa era, began planting and selling flowers to make a living. One day, someone requested to visit the flower-covered hillside, and more and more people started coming to admire the blossoms. Eventually, to accommodate the growing number of visitors, "Hanamiyama Park" was officially opened in 1959.
