[2025 Hangzhou Stay] Travel Guide for Hangzhou Wonderland Hotel (Updated Apr)

If you’re looking forward to a soothing staycation away from the hustle and the bustle, Hangzhou Wonderland Hotel located in Lin’an by Qingshan Lake is the perfect place 😌 I booked a superior room with mountain view. My friend shared the contact of a receptionist who speaks English there as I wanted to confirm whether my room would have a balcony. I got upgraded to a room with mountain and lake view 😃 🔹Bathroom supplies: Towels, bathrobes, shower gel, toilet paper, soap, hand wash & bath salt. Toothbrush, toothpaste and a comb are available upon request. (I brought my own bath bombs since I was eager to make full use of the bath tub 😁) 🔹Room facilities: Mini fridge, Safe, green tea, black tea, coffee, notepad with pencil, TV with English channels & TVOD, ironing board, iron, umbrella, mints, Nongfu Spring water bottles, slippers (Slippers are free of charge in the hotel but if you want to take them away, it’s 20¥). 🔹Room service for meals is available at an extra charge of 15% .The menu is also in English and prices are quite decent. I ordered club sandwiches with fries one night. The price is 58¥ on the menu and I paid 67¥ with room service fee. The room was spacious. The bed was comfy with clean bedsheets and soft pillows. The room was cleaned every day. The balcony had a relaxing view of the lake and the mountains. The environment was tranquil and lush green 🌿 I could hear birds chirping the whole day 🕊 The cycling trail around the lake is also accessible from the hotel. Bicycles on rent are available for 30¥ per hour. The breakfast buffet had lots of options at the cost of 98¥ (if not already included in your booking). For the dinner buffet, you’ll have to book in advance. 🔹Other Hotel Facilities: Gym, indoor pool, female & male locker rooms, ping-pong 🏓 tables, a pool room 🎱, Chinese and western restaurant How to go ➡️ I took metro 🚇 line 16 which branches to Lin’an from Hangzhou city centre. I got off at Zhejiang AT&T University (农林大学）stop and took a taxi to the hotel. It’s a 10 mins ride. It integrates local elements such as stone walls, fully showcasing the artistic conception of the Qian family guarding the southeastern countryside during wartime. You can hire a guide to listen and watch. The museum's treasures, such as the Yue Kiln celadon brown cloud-patterned incense burner, can be easily and interestingly remembered by children through puzzles and multimedia videos. There are not many people, so you can visit in detail. 🌄Must-visit Spot 2: Qingshan Lake Greenway Cycling. The Qingshan Lake Greenway is known as the "most beautiful greenway in Zhejiang," stretching over 30 kilometers. We started from the Qingshan Lake Zhongdu Lakeside Hotel, right next to the greenway. You can rent bikes, and the greenway is dedicated to cycling or running with no other vehicles. The road conditions are good, making it the best choice for leisure cycling. 🌄Must-visit Spot 3: Qingshan Lake Water Forest. The matcha green lake surface is particularly photogenic. The light and shadow theater at night might be a bit boring for adults, but it's full of surprises for children, giving them a fairy tale world feeling with light and sound. 🚗Transportation Tips: It's a two-hour drive from Xuancheng. The high-speed train requires a transfer in Hangzhou, which is not very convenient. 🏨Hotel Environment: Recommended to stay at the Qingshan Lake Zhongdu Lakeside Hotel by Qingshan Lake. It's a five-star hotel with complete facilities for swimming, fitness, billiards, and children's playground. The package we bought included a group fan-making activity, and the kids were given ice cream. The lake view room's large balcony offers a great view of the lake. The hotel also has bike rentals, making it convenient for cycling. 💗Other Tips: The Qingshan Lake Water Forest is quite tiring for the legs, so remember to wear comfortable shoes. Book the light and shadow theater in advance.
