🇯🇵 [Gunma Prefecture] Haruna Shrine ⛩️ (^^) Let's go meet the Seven Lucky Gods!
Located on the southern slope of Mt. Haruna, this ancient shrine is said to have been founded during the reign of Emperor Yomei (585-87) (^^)
Since ancient times, it has attracted worshippers of Mt. Haruna as a sacred place for mountain Buddhism and Shugendo, and as a shrine for bountiful harvests and rain! (^^)
In the precincts, which have a solemn atmosphere, there are giant trees, including the Yatate Cedar, a nationally designated natural monument where Takeda Shingen is said to have placed an arrow and prayed for victory when he attacked Minowa Castle during the Warring States period! (^^)

#DomesticTravelTrip
Haruna Shrine boasts over 400 years of history
It enshrines the gods of fire and earth, and is said to bring good fortune, bountiful harvests, and prosperous business
The grounds, surrounded by unique rock formations, are a popular power spot with a sacred atmosphere
The 700-meter approach to the shrine follows a clear stream and is overwhelmed by the old cedars and huge rock formations
It is said that Takeda Shingen shot an arrow here to pray for victory when he attacked Minowa Castle, the castle of the Nagano clan. The 500-year-old "Yatatesugi" tree is a designated national natural monument.

[Points]
~Get some energy at Haruna Shrine, surrounded by nature~
Haruna Shrine is a must-see spot for sightseeing in this area.
It's very far from Takasaki Station, but I think you can spend a full hour just touring inside Haruna Shrine. It's such a big shrine.
When you go inside, you'll find the Seven Lucky Gods everywhere, so it's fun to walk around looking for them.
In addition, Haruna Shrine has something called "Mizu Omikuji."
You can tell your fortune by dipping the paper in water.
It's a good idea to try it as a souvenir of your visit.
