Yakushi Onsen
Kayabuki no Sato Hatago
We visited here on a trip to celebrate my grandmother and mother's 80th and 60th birthdays.
I like beautiful and luxurious inns, but the thatched roofs are full of atmosphere as if you've traveled back in time.
Of course the food, scenery, and hot springs are great, but the highlight is the hospitality-filled service.
As it was an anniversary trip, we had champagne and chanchanko 🎉
We even received a souvenir on the way out, and we were grateful for the generous hospitality.
If we have the time and money, this is an inn we'd like to visit again.

[Gunma Tourism] Nationally designated scenic spot "Azuma Valley"
The nationally designated scenic spot "Azuma Valley" stretches 3.5 km from the Karugazawa Bridge to the Yamba Bridge, and features strangely shaped rocks and valleys known as Azuma Valley Tokachi. You can enjoy the steep yet beautiful beauty of the valley.
The greatest attraction is that you can enjoy the seasonal scenery with Mitsuba Azalea in April, fresh greenery in May, and autumn leaves from late October.
Please come and visit us! !

Iwabitsu Castle Ruins
#asiatrip
Nestled in the scenic landscapes of Gunma Prefecture, the Iwabitsu Castle Ruins offer a fascinating glimpse into Japan’s feudal past. This historical site, once a formidable fortress, now stands as a testament to the region’s rich heritage. Visitors can explore the remnants of the castle walls and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, which are particularly stunning during the cherry blossom season. The hike to the ruins is both invigorating and rewarding, with well-marked trails that guide you through lush forests and past serene streams. The tranquility of the area, combined with the historical significance of the ruins, makes Iwabitsu Castle a must-visit for history enthusiasts and nature lovers alike
I want to go again!
We went there for a staff social and training trip. It is a hatagoya in Kayabuki-no-Sato Yakushi Onsen. The grounds are vast and you can also stay overnight. In addition to the hot springs, there are also other recreational activities such as shooting, quoits, and archery. We ate at a table around the hearth. I was impressed by the only ingredient, which was wild makomo, which was a first for me, and I also ate a whole grilled salted rock trout.
There were lots of wind chimes on display, fitting for summer, and there were also displays of things like trick chests.
I would definitely like to go back again. #Ikaho #Travelingwithme

[Gunma Prefecture] Yamba Dam
The huge structure is impressive! It's a recommended spot.
You can view it from above and below by using the elevator inside Yamba Dam.
There is also a beautiful shop, souvenirs, and a museum, so you can learn and enjoy gourmet food.
I stopped by on the way back from Kusatsu Onsen.
I was surprised to learn that this dam began operation in April 2020, which was surprisingly recent!
It took 68 years to complete from planning, and it is an important dam that affects the population of 13 million people in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
The red Yamba Momiji Bridge near the dam was impressive.

I stopped off here for a rest on the bus route.
The supermarket next door sold local vegetables and souvenirs.
The scenery around was amazing!!
