This time we stayed in Tenryokaku, which is a Japanese-style room with tatami mats. There is a special person who comes to turn the tatami mats every night. The breakfast is a buffet, delicious and rich. After soaking in the open-air hot spring, I drank "Hida Milk" (purchased at the self-service machine), and my fatigue gradually disappeared and I felt good. The room is quite spacious and as most Japanese ryokans do, green hotel offers some local sweets to welcome guests. They have 2 Onsens at two buildings and open to Hotel guests. It has a very nice garden near the outdoor Onsen. The outdoor open air Onsen is nice especially in winter.

Before coming to Takayama, I compared many hotels and finally chose Takayama Green Hotel. I took the bus to Takayama Station and found that the bus station was right next to JR Takayama Station. B1 floor is only open to hotel guests, while the first floor is open to both inside and outside. So I chose the hot spring on the B1 floor, which has good privacy, one indoor pool and two outdoor pools. I can soak in it in the morning and evening, which is very comfortable. There is also a local Takayama souvenir shop on the first floor, which is large in scale and offers a wide selection. The hotel has Western and Japanese restaurants. Breakfast is served in the Western restaurant, which is rich and varied and good. My room is in the new building. It is large, well-equipped and comfortable. The large floor-to-ceiling windows face the mountain view. The various views make me feel relaxed. The hotel is not far from major attractions and can be reached on foot. I heard that the hotel was also the choice of the Japanese royal family, and the tree in front of the hotel was planted by the royal family. Opposite the hotel is a large shoe store, clothing store, and daily necessities store. Turn right when you exit the hotel, and you will see 7-11 opposite. Turn left to the next traffic light, and you will see Family opposite. On the right is Daiso, and a little further to the left is a large supermarket where locals shop.
