I spent hours wandering through the exhibits, with my personal favorite being the contemporary art wing and the African art collection. 🎨 One thing I loved was the rotating exhibitions—when I visited, there was a stunning photography showcase that I couldn’t stop thinking about. Great museum tour! Although it is located in the city center, there are plenty of parking spaces! Don’t be afraid of running out of parking space~ In addition, the entire museum campus is divided into many different administrative areas. Before going, remember to confirm the exact location of the exhibition you want to see~ to save time on finding your way! This time, we visited five floors including the special exhibition! Although not one of Atlanta's most famous landmarks, it is highly recommended for those interested in art or exhibitions! The exhibition size is quite large, and the quality is good. The contemporary art pieces are particularly well-arranged and well-explained, making the viewing experience very enjoyable :) The only downside is that the souvenir shop is a bit lacking. It was the best place in Atlanta for me! There were lots of collections from Monet to modern art. And the way the artworks were displayed was interesting. It would be a much better space if the souvenir shop improves.

In 1926, Mrs. Harriet "Hattie" High, the widow of a wealthy businessman with a strong interest in art, donated her family's Tudor-style residence on Peachtree Street to the museum for ten dollars. In honor of her contribution, the museum was named after her surname. The exhibits include permanent collections and temporary exhibitions. The permanent collections are mainly divided into the following categories: African Art; American Art: paintings, sculptures, etc. from 1780 to 1980; Decorative Arts and Design: American decorative arts from the 19th and early 20th centuries; European Art: paintings and sculptures spanning six centuries (1300-1900); Folk and Self-Taught Art: works by artists without formal art education; Modern and Contemporary Art: multimedia works and photographs from 1945 to the present.

We visited the High Museum of Art on a recent trip to Atlanta. It was very nice. The collection is split onto a number of floors and spread between a couple buildings. The building interior itself is quite modern and the galleries are nicely put together. #wintergetaway #wintergetaway
