All Moments About Himandhoo
Hiding Out in Himandhoo
Himandhoo tourist beach is one of the most beautiful beaches that I’ve ever had the pleasure of being able to visit. Beautifully fine soft white sand makes it pure delight. Himandhoo can be reached by local ferry from Malé, however it does take all day and require two ferry journeys; because of this there are much fewer tourists here which makes a stay on Himandhoo a much more relaxing and authentic experience.

Maldives: Dream destination that won’t break the bank!
I’ve just returned from a dream holiday in the Maldives. The Maldives far exceeded my expectations. I stayed on local islands where accommodation is really nice and super affordable. During my holiday, I stayed on four different islands and visited two other islands.
My first night was on Male city Island, Male is a vibrant and energetic city with great restaurants and bars.
The next day I took the local ferry to Himandhoo Island which has a really relaxed and chilled vibe. There were very few tourists there and I spent three days really enjoying the beach and swimming in the beautiful sea. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and the food at the restaurant was delicious.
Then I took the local ferry to Thoddoo Island, this island has beautiful beaches and also very good snorkelling, when snorkelling here I encountered a group of five turtles which was really amazing.
On my way to Thoddoo Island I spent the afternoon at Rasdhoo Island, to be honest, not my favourite. It seemed very touristy and didn’t seem to have as nice a vibe as the other islands I visited. However, it did seem to have some really nice restaurants.
While staying on Thoddoo Island I took excursions to see sharks, stingrays and manta rays. These were all really amazing experiences. While doing one of these excursions, we spent a little bit of time on Mathiveri Island, although I didn’t get to spend very long on the island I really loved the vibe of this island. It didn’t seem too touristy either. The beaches and water looked amazing. If I ever come back to the Maldives I would definitely stay on this island.
The last island I stayed on was Ukulhas, the snorkelling from the beach here was really great. I saw so many fish of all different shapes colours and sizes however it was probably my least favourite of all the islands I stayed on, as there is a lot of construction work going on. They seem to be building many hotels, I think in future the island will be overrun with tourists and will lose its authentic feel. However, it was one of the best islands for snorkelling.
I had a really amazing time in the Maldives and I really hope that someday I can go back!

Maldives seaside homestay
Maldives seaside homestay
Manta Sea View is a homestay located on the beach of a Maldivian island.
The first-floor rooms open directly onto the beach, with the sound of the sea breeze in your ears.
The second and third-floor sea view rooms offer an unobstructed view of the blue sea.
Here, every day is gently wrapped by the sea.
In the morning, wake up to the sound of the waves, the sun shining through the curtains on your face, instantly smoothing away all your fatigue.
In the evening, sit on the balcony or in the yard, gazing at the sunset as it paints the sky with warm colors, the breeze blowing on your face.
If you are tired of the fast pace of the city, why not take a vacation on an island and leave all the hustle and bustle behind? This is not just a place to stay, but a starting point for a memory full of beauty and tranquility.
