Hinoyama Park (火の山公園) is a scenic park situated atop Mount Hinoyama in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. As part of the Setonaikai National Park, it offers panoramic views of the Kanmon Straits, the Seto Inland Sea, and the Sea of Japan. The park is renowned for its seasonal floral displays, including cherry blossoms, rhododendrons, and a Turkish tulip garden. Visitors can access the summit via a ropeway or by hiking, and enjoy facilities such as an observation deck, restaurant, and shops.   
Key Highlights:
• Location: Mimosusogawa-cho, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture 
• Access: Approximately 15 minutes by bus from JR Shimonoseki Station to the Hinoyama Ropeway stop, followed by a ropeway ride or a 30-minute walk to the summit. 
• Floral Attractions: Cherry blossoms in spring, rhododendrons in early May, and a tulip garden featuring around 40,000 tulips donated by Istanbul, Shimonoseki’s sister city. 
• Facilities: Observation deck, restaurant, shops, and parking (270 car spaces, 8 bus spaces). 
• Operating Hours: Park open daily from 8:00 to 23:30; ropeway operates from 10:00 to 17:00 (early March to mid-November).
