It’s best to start at the main parking area near the lake (Hintersee Parkplatz), where trails begin. 💰Parking fees apply, around €5 per day. -We began by hiking the Zauberwald Trail (Magic Forest), a stunning 2-hour walk through the forest and along the lake, offering mesmerizing views of the mountains and crystal-clear water 🙌 I would advise you to wear sturdy shoes; the terrain is rocky in parts. Bring water and snacks, as there are limited food options in the forest. 📸 The enchanting views and peaceful atmosphere make for great photo opportunities. Keep an eye out for wildlife like deer and various bird species 🐦 After the hike, we headed to Gasthof Auzinger for a hearty Bavarian lunch. I highly recommend trying their schnitzel and fish caught from nearby streams.
