These statues were added in the mid-19th century, and the original plan was not so "luxurious"! - A closer look reveals that the front facade of the Town Hall is divided into three levels, each of which is beautifully decorated. The spires and flying buttresses at the top give a sense of the medieval atmosphere. The interior is equally gorgeous, with murals and wood carvings complementing each other, a perfect combination of art and history. - Leuven Town Hall is not only a landmark of the city, but also an important part of Belgium's cultural heritage. It attracts countless tourists and history buffs to visit, and imagine being able to witness municipal events, weddings, and cultural events here, it's a social place!

Leuven has a magical vibe! It’s full of young people that attend its university, and this really reflects on the cultural and food offer in the city! It’s full of historical monuments, such as the townhall and the Arenberg Castle and also picturesque plazas, such as the Oude Markt and the Grote Markt! I specially loved Oude, which is called “the biggest bar in the world”, and out of all the offer my favorite was Farao (for cheap drinks - enjoy a local Stella for less than 3€) Aside from that, there are many restaurants with food from all over the world, I especially enjoyed Leo’s pancakes and Donki (Mexican food). But my favorite has to be the tiramisu from de Werf! 10/10 recommended. #food #belgium #Leuven
