A Must-Stay Hotel in Shanghai!!!
In-Depth Experience at Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong: A Heartwarming Journey of Great Value
Tucked away just outside the Outer Ring Expressway in Shanghai's Pudong district lies a hidden gem—Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong. Whether for business trips or leisure vacations, this hotel delivers an unexpectedly delightful stay experience!
🏘️ Room Types/Layout: This time, I stayed in the Executive Suite, featuring a classic living room + bedroom layout with thoughtful space planning and a cozy, comfortable ambiance. The hotel is very member-friendly, generously offering suite upgrades—even companions can easily get upgraded. The north-facing room overlooks the Kangqiao Villa area, showcasing serene beauty amidst the city at sunset, with a unique distant view of Shanghai's skyline.
🛌 Amenities/Facilities: Opened in 2011, the hotel may show some signs of age, but it’s meticulously maintained and overall clean. While it lacks the trendy tech of luxury hotels, it offers standard upscale facilities like an executive lounge and swimming pool. A standout feature is the "sky eye" design by the pool, allowing swimmers to look down from above—a fun twist. Though some facilities feel slightly dated, key areas like elevators and room doors require card access, ensuring guest safety.
🧹 Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The environment is clean and hygienic, with dining areas tidy and orderly, meeting Holiday Inn’s consistent quality standards. Quirky local touches, like serving soy milk in classic Jiang-Zhe-style thermoses, add charm.
💗 Other Tips: The hotel’s location is superb—just 15 minutes to Disneyland, ~30 minutes to Pudong Airport, and even the Bund is about half an hour away with smooth traffic, offering tranquility without sacrificing convenience. Service shines here: welcoming and front-desk staff are polite and warm, and the GM prioritizes service quality. A casual suggestion to expand the lounge’s base spirits was implemented the same day! The executive lounge is full of surprises, with the new GM elevating standards—daily specialty cocktails and patient bartending tutorials helped me master Tequila Sunrise and Fuji Mountain classics during my stay. Plus, the lobby bar serves daily afternoon tea, enriching leisure time.
In summary, Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong crafts a cozy, comfortable stay with thoughtful service, unique facilities, and a prime location. Whether you’re a budget-savvy traveler or a service-focused business guest, this hotel promises a wonderful stay—highly recommended!
