🗺️ A Ttukbakki's Hong Kong Story
If you want to feel the real local sentiment in Hong Kong? You absolutely have to ride a tram!
A narrow, long, double-decker tram slowly runs through Hong Kong Island. Although it is slow, the slowness allows you to see the scenery of the alleys properly. It passes through busy areas like Central, Wan Chai, and Causeway Bay, and you can also catch a glimpse of the small daily lives of people in the neighborhood, so it's really fun.
In particular, if you sit in the front row of the second floor, the scenery outside the window unfolds like a panorama, just like a scene from a movie. These days, there are many new transportation methods, but the tram is the best for its slowness and old-fashioned sentiment.
💳 Price: HKD 3 for adults (Octopus card accepted, same fare regardless of distance)
🛵 Location and transportation: Easy to ride anywhere on Hong Kong Island. Recommended to ride from Central or Causeway Bay! There are several tram routes, so be sure to check the direction depending on your destination.
🫶🏻 What I liked!: The feeling of sitting in the front row of the second floor of the tram and watching the streets of Hong Kong slowly pass by. It was a great way to stop and relax during a busy trip.
🎸 Other notes: Some trams don't have air conditioning, so it's a little hot in the summer! But it's fun to open the windows and feel the breeze, which is another charm. The inside of the tram is narrow, so it's better to avoid carrying large luggage!
