The lotus flowers at Honghu Lake are in bloom! Aren't you coming to see them?
Shenzhen Honghu Park is a comprehensive urban park themed around lotus flowers in Luohu District, covering approximately 59.15 hectares with water bodies accounting for about 45% of the area, blending natural ecology with cultural landscapes.
I. Featured Attractions
Lotus Theme
The lotus flowers are the park's highlight, blooming from late May to early August, with peak bloom occurring from mid-to-late June to early July. The park features two major lotus display areas, "Pinhe Garden" and "Juhe Garden," housing nearly 700 species of plants from the Nelumbonaceae and Nymphaeaceae families. Special misting devices create a "fairyland" atmosphere.
Since 1988, the park has hosted an annual Lotus Festival, including photography, flower arrangement, and science education activities, making it a popular summer destination for lotus viewing.
Bald Cypress Grove
The largest bald cypress forest in South China is located in the southern half of the park, displaying different colors throughout the seasons: lush green in spring and summer, turning deep red in autumn and winter, creating a picturesque layered landscape.

Peak bloom is expected in mid-June, with the best viewing time from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. 💚 Flower-viewing tips:
1️⃣ Fewer lotus flowers this year compared to previous years, but there are still many beautiful blooms and scenes, perfect for photos.
2️⃣ The floating bridge on the right after entering is under construction and inaccessible. A large area of blooming lotuses is visible there—unfortunate!
3️⃣ Fewer lotus flowers near the pavilion with mist effects on the left after entering this year. More lotus flowers can be found opposite the pavilion near Rainbow Bridge.
4️⃣ Some stunning lotus flowers in Pinhe Garden attract many photographers.
5️⃣ A small boat and lotus scenery straight ahead after entering make for breathtaking photos.
6️⃣ Walk straight through the bridge after entering to reach the "Bowl Lotus Exhibition," where you can get up close with lotus flowers. Early mornings are quiet, ideal for portrait shots. These two spots are great for portraits.
7️⃣ Remember to bring an umbrella (transparent is best), water, snacks, and a fan—it's really hot, and you'll be sweating buckets!
8️⃣ For the best photos, visit in the morning and head straight to the small boat scene and Bowl Lotus Exhibition area.
9️⃣ Outfit tips: Avoid red and black. White, new Chinese style, qipao, vintage, or fresh looks are all great choices.
