Hongjue Temple was built in the Southern Dynasty in 503. It is backed by Niushou Mountain and opposite to Yuntai Mountain. The southern foot of the mountain is the largest underground palace in the southern region of the Yangtze River. Jin's Shun Mausoleum. During the orthodox years of the Ming Dynasty, it was one of the Eight Great Country Temples in Nanjing in the Ming Dynasty. Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty once toured the south of the Yangtze River six times, and inscribed the plaque of "All Laws Are Like" for Hongjue Temple. The Hongjue Temple Pagoda is located on the southeastern slope of Niushou Mountain. It was built in the ninth year of Dali in the Tang Dynasty (774) and is now rebuilt in the early Ming Dynasty. In 1956, the underground palace was discovered at the bottom of the tower, and the underground palace contained cultural relics.
