With the explosive increase in the resident population, the city's heart also needs some places for solace, and temples are precisely the right places for peace of mind. Hongyuan Temple, as the lower court of the most bustling Hongfa Temple in Shenzhen, does not have the constant stream of visitors like Hongfa Temple, but has become the loneliest temple in Shenzhen. Located in the Bao'an Shiyan Hot Spring Resort, since the resort is within a water source protection area, it is currently abandoned and as a result, Hongyuan Temple has become deserted. Perhaps, the liveliness of a temple is to some extent also affected by its location. Here lies Shenzhen's largest temple complex, from the Mahavira Hall to the scripture repository on the mountain, built along the hillside, ascending step by step, with a well-ordered layout. It is an excellent place for religious activities. Standing at the temple, one can see the natural lake opposite, enjoying a uniquely beautiful scenery, suitable for cultivation. There is not even a trace of commercialization here, not even a bottle of mineral water for sale, making it a rare place of tranquility.
