Hongyuan Temple is built along the mountain, surrounded by green trees, and is quiet and elegant. The temple has three main halls and six bell towers. Each main hall has a bell tower on either side, symmetrically arranged. The three main halls are distributed from front to back, ascending from low to high along the mountain. 🚗Transportation: From downtown Shenzhen, you can reach Shiyan Lake Hot Spring Resort by taking the Beihuan Road to Baimang Checkpoint and then heading west on Songbai Road. 🎫Tickets: Free

Hongyuan Temple, as the lower court of the most bustling Hongfa Temple in Shenzhen, does not have the constant stream of visitors like Hongfa Temple, but has become the loneliest temple in Shenzhen. Located in the Bao'an Shiyan Hot Spring Resort, since the resort is within a water source protection area, it is currently abandoned and as a result, Hongyuan Temple has become deserted. Perhaps, the liveliness of a temple is to some extent also affected by its location. Here lies Shenzhen's largest temple complex, from the Mahavira Hall to the scripture repository on the mountain, built along the hillside, ascending step by step, with a well-ordered layout. It is an excellent place for religious activities. Standing at the temple, one can see the natural lake opposite, enjoying a uniquely beautiful scenery, suitable for cultivation. There is not even a trace of commercialization here, not even a bottle of mineral water for sale, making it a rare place of tranquility.
