Now, location-wise, this place is a gem. It's right there on East Coast Road, with plenty of fantastic restaurants and bars within walking distance. And if you're in the mood for some shopping, the I12 Mall is right next door. When it comes to sightseeing, a quick cab ride will get you to all the touristy spots. Plus, there's a bus stop practically at the doorstep, though the Dakota MRT is a few bus stops away. But let's get to the really cool stuff. #mysgmemories Very nice hotel, clean, friendly staff and nice modern style. The rooftop infinity pool is the perfect place to relax before or after sightseeing. A bit far from the main sightseeing spots, but ok. Small eateries in Katong are great to explore - feel more authentic but less touristy. The breakfast was delicious!! What I really enjoyed was the aqua gym and cycling classes in the pool. I was lucky to stumble across the watersports lessons on the first day as I was swimming in the pool at 8am. How lucky! I really like the courses offered by Ripple Club! Beautiful day begins. I was lucky that the class was free that week. I go there every morning. The course should be promoted more in the hotel. I wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't stumbled across it. That would be a shame.

AFAIK, they ain’t opening yet. So this hotel’s pool belongs to the OTOT (own time own target) pool. I am in love with Hotel Indigo, a cute round bathtub with a splash of vintage bathroom decor such as clogs and spittoon. I also like to do a battle of laksa tasting in this neighbourhood. If you have a change in the near future to this hotel, do check out their rooftop pool. The pool has a huge sign at the bottom of their pool. Just remember to stand at the far corner of the pool and take your victory shot, overlooking Katong’s infinity view. Their pool is pretty long and is able for swimmers to swim their laps too. I will definitely recommend this hotel for its awesome location (despite not being near any MRT).

However, I arrived super late (like, in the middle of the night) and my pick-up was an Alphard that took the expressway, so the fare ended up being S$285! 💸 (Just a heads-up for late-night arrivals!) Nyonya Vibes & Service: The hotel really embraces that beautiful Nyonya style! When I arrived in the dead of night, there was only one front desk staff member who didn't speak Mandarin. But thankfully, they understood simple requests, so check-in was smooth. The next day, the staff on duty spoke Mandarin, which was great! 😊 Room & Location Perks: The room was actually quite spacious! From my window, I had a view right down onto Joo Chiat Road, which was super convenient for exploring. It's not far from East Coast Park, but actually walking there takes over half an hour, so I opted for a taxi. Much quicker! 🚕 Breakfast Delights! The hotel breakfast is a definite highlight! 🍳🧇 The yogurt was especially delicious and sweet, and the doughnuts were tasty too. Plus, they even do latte art for the coffee – a nice touch! ☕ (A slight hiccup on day one: the non-Mandarin speaking server made me feel a bit sad, but I was ready with my translation app the next day, only to find the staff spoke Mandarin! 😂 Typical!) Check-out & Amenities: The hotel kindly gave me a slip for a late check-out until 2 PM. Since I had to check out that day anyway, I just left in the morning. There's also a pool upstairs, along with a gym. Great for a quick workout or a dip! 🏊♀️💪 Overall Thoughts: Singapore isn't a huge city, but if your main goal is to explore the city center, I'd still recommend staying there. The lobby of the hotel is very interesting. You will find some elements of the Baba nonya ambiance here . The hotel is right next to the shopping mall where you can shop and dine at the same time. There is also a Starbucks cafe just around the corner where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea . You can spend a day exploring this area . The sign is very simple and you might miss it. But from the outside, it is easy to be attracted by its elegant appearance. If you stay at Hotel Indigo, this is also the place to have breakfast. You can squeeze the fresh orange juice yourself, which is fun. Mari is a waitress in the restaurant. She is from the Philippines and an interesting soul. She will tell you a lot of interesting places in her hometown.
