We chose to stay at the Papa Whale Hotel 😆🐳 I have been eyeing this hotel for a while now because its location is in Ximending, a familiar area when visiting Taipei. Here, you can do self-check-in by simply entering your personal information and booking number, and you will receive a key card to enter the room (there will be a staff member next to you to provide advice in case you have any questions). We booked a single bed room with breakfast included. The price is lovely, and the room is a lovely size and is well-proportioned. The hotel is on the corner of the street, easy to notice, and it only takes about 10 minutes to walk to the subway.

Although it's a bit dark, it won't make you feel oppressive It has a texture, golden and dark style✨ The prices are also very affordable. Different booking websites have different prices. It is recommended to compare before ordering! The hotel has a self-service washing machine for guests to wash their clothes. There are so many rooms, it's like walking in a maze. I think the soundproofing is good. I didn't hear any noise from the next room or the corridor when I stayed there. If you feel hungry, get off the bustling Ximending in just a few minutes! Shopping is not a problem. The most important thing is that you can get home immediately after shopping. Cheap place for people to stay but I won’t recommend it, the room is very small, weird smell coming out of the room, poor service, the staff will give you a look when you told them that their room is smelly, walking to the hotel room is like a maze, very confusing for first time check in and not much choice to choose from the room service menu. HOTEL PAPA WHALE 🐳 A chic hotel near Ximending The price we booked was 3,940 baht per night, excluding breakfast. It was a room for 4 people with a private bathroom and complete amenities. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We arrived at 10 am and could not check in yet, so we left our bags first. The staff gave us a luggage storage slip and blocked the bags we had left in the storage area in front of the lobby. When it was time to check in (we had not returned yet), they took the bags up to our room. When we returned from our trip, we checked in, received the key card, and went up to our room 😊 There are many convenience stores and restaurants near the hotel. We were very impressed by this place because they cleaned it every day. We went to get dolls and piled them up. When we returned to the room, they arranged them beautifully. The towels and hair dryers were also changed every day. For anyone looking for a place to stay in Taipei, we recommend this place as an option. If we have the chance to visit Taipei again, we will go back to stay here. I like it very much 😆 Note 1 The hotel is a walk from Ximen Station. Quite far (about 10-15 minutes). If you have a big bag, it might be a bit difficult. Note 2: There are many sizes of rooms here. There are single rooms. The price for booking in advance will be more affordable. It's spacious and comfortable to eat in, and I really like the layout!!! I think it costs about 300-400 won per person. The atmosphere is good and the air conditioning is great, so I ate and came out feeling cool after relieving my hangover ㅎㅎㅎ Those who don't like crowded places, try eating here once ㅎㅎ

The location of Hotel PaPa Whale is not very good, but it is quite affordable compared to the hotel prices in Ximending. It just opened a short time ago and it feels that the overall situation is not yet fully on track. I wonder if it has improved later. I originally thought that this hotel only had rooms on B1, but looking at other people's accommodation experiences it seems that there are other floors. Maybe they were opened later. However, the price is not bad on weekdays (around 1,300 yuan for a double room), and it is not far from the downtown area and the station. Overall it is still a good affordable choice.
