[2025 Houston Attraction] Travel Guide for Houston Zoo (Updated Apr)

Tons of families, couples, and groups of friends viewing the animals. Most animals had a buddy in their enclosure so it was nice to see the efforts they put in the make sure the animals aren't alone. I was impressed by how clean it was, and how many different types of animals were there. It was during the early afternoon, so many of the animals were laying down or trying to stay cool. Very easy to navigate with the maps and arrows all over the park. Tons of restrooms and free water refill. The Houston zoo is pretty good at keeping the animals in healthy environments, and I see them constantly working to make things better for the animals. Overall, the Houston Zoo is an excellent destination for families, friends, or even solo visitors looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of wildlife and nature. It was so spread out and is home to over 6,000 animals. I personally loved watching the Lion, Bear and Rhinoceros. It was hot when I visited so I checked out the indoor exhibits whenever I needed to cool off. There are cafes inside but it’s on the pricier side. Do arrive early here if you want to cover all the areas.

A relationship between Father and Daughter is Priceless! I know many girls that grew up without a father and my heart goes out to them. my father and I were actually apart for 6 yrs. I grew up in Mexico with his parents and I only saw him 3 times. When I finally came to live with him in Houston TX. I was 10 and he was with his new wife who hated me. literally the true definition of the evil step mother. I moved out at15 yrs old and stayed away as much as I could. He couldn't understand why, I never told him because I didn't want to cause any problems between them 30 yrs have past and so has his wife. God has blessed us with the opportunity to build our7 relationship stronger than ever. we love to travel together and spend as much quality time as my busy schedule will allow.
